I just used the built in light meter. Starting to doubt the accuracy of it though.

As a fellow photographer and Medellin being my hometown I wish you had chosen a different approach to the title. We are sooo tired of the association with Pablo Escobar. You have been so respectful to the places you visit and your photography is inspiring, you are a fantastic artist is just a shame that you chose to continue with this dated narrative that we have to carry everywhere we go as Colombians. Especially since you really don’t cover anything related to Pablo Escobar. In the future please be more mindful with the way you describe the places you visit. Yes, Medellín has some sketchy places "El Centro" being one of them, the taxi was right to warn you to be careful but yet again nothing related to your title and more to the pandemic.

Agreed. I was in Cali in the 80's with an old girlfriend and friends. Today they look back at that as a short and unfortunate blip of the history of that great country, and deflects from the wonderful people and culture that has been through so much but still beams with pride. Sounds like a worthwhile photography project.

Ale you're completly right. It was not cool using that title and thumbnail. Thanks for taking the time to write me. I've changed the title + thumbnail. I had the best time in Colombia and Medellín, and it should reflect that.

In 2019, I eagerly awaited your videos. It seemed then you were really doing your best work photography wise and connecting with humanity. Every video was solid. This seems like a weak travelogue with that write by numbers narration. It’s not easy being on the path you were. Perhaps it was never about becoming a street respected and amazing photographer on the rise. So guy, I’m gonna tell it like it is rather than sing false praises.

I hear you. I tried to do this video while visiting friends in another country. And it was easy to rationalize it as “I’ll bring my camera and do videos” but it shows 100%. And I’ve cancelled some trips I had planned for that reason, because mixing it doesn’t work like that. Anyways! Appreciate the honesty and your time for given real feedback!

Great video! But in my opinion there is no need to advertise it with the negative (name of a druglord) history of this town and country. It has many more positive sides that should get attention. The wonderful people there for example. Nevertheless, great video that I enjoyed watching.

when I saw that you were coming to Colombia I was very happy I even wrote to you on ig and I had the opportunity to talk to you, I was happy that you answered me, I admire and am a great fan of your work but like other Colombians the title you chose hurts me I hope you can reflect on this and do not take it the wrong way or reject it, as always I will continue to support your content!

I am from Medellin, and As much as I love your content, i really don’t like the fact that you are using Escobar’s name. It is like using Hitler for advertising anything for Germany. He brought so much pain and problems for us. We are still dealing with the consequences of his actions and legacy

this is really cool, but that taxi driver wasn’t over exaggerating. right now in colombia, due to conflicts between venezuala and political socialism, many big cities are filled with more criminals. Cali is the most dangerous, but Medellin is getting there. no dar papaya👍
