i just got back from medellin. I had the same idea after seeing how expensive/hard to book these airbnbs were. I don't know much about realestate investing or hosting an airbnb but it definitely caught my attention. Can you airbnb a space you rented out but didn't buy?

Currently now I believe you have to buy the entire complex known to rent it out as Airbnb

I'm not sure about that to be honest, I actually see it being very difficult to enforce. I think to register as a hotel or hospitality business that maybe be the case.

Hi! I am having a hard time looking for landlords in Medellin specifically in el Poblado , I keep getting in contact with agencies but no luck with the landlord itself , any advice ?

Landlords here almost exclusively work with agency's. They try to keep their distance. Try Facebook groups.

Hi Do you need a license for AirBNB-ing in Medellin? If so how easy would it be to obtain this. Which part of town is it in?

Technically yes you need a hospitality permit to start with. The process isn't too difficult. Many operators don't have it. This is in the poblado area.

this video is not helpful at all. how are we supposed to know if its a good investment without giving us key information like how much this property cost to buy, the debt on it, the interest rate, how much you will profit net of expenses, etc.

First thing I do is control the property, in this case it was an initial walk through while negotiating the lease. We never finalized the lease. Without that critical piece there's no reason to spend time crunching the numbers. If this deal had progressed I would certainly discuss those details if looking to raise money on the channel or doing an educational episode on how I analyze a deal. This video was neither of those and just a snap shot into what gets my attention.
