Thanks Andres. I live in Medellin half the year and still have so much to see. You go into parts of Medellin that as an old white gringo I wouldn't be comfortable going to, especially at night. So I appreciate what you do.

Cool video, even if you got a little distracted. I heard that Alborada had something to do with Pablo Escobar's birthday. Do you know anything about that?
@andresonearthАй бұрын
I've heard that too, from the research I've done it has to do with the demobilization of the paramilitary group "Cacique Nutibara" in 2003.

I dated a girl up in santo Domingo for 6 months i was uo there 3 nights a week hanging out. That is one unique neighborhood its definitely lawless the cops dont run thag neighborhood thats for sure. I was on the tippy top all the way up and I never had a problem. I had a great time hanging out up in santo Domingo. I miss Colombia cant wait to get back there. Life in the usa is kinda boring as fvck
@andresonearthАй бұрын
Yeah there’s is def a feeling of lawlessness in those barrios, the higher up u go the more u feel it. Life in US is boring for sure but it’s def a better place to make money and have more stability.

Copyright? those are classics isnt to the point where if a song is 20 years old the copy rights doesnt exist?
@andresonearthАй бұрын
nah thats not true, anything after 1950 typically has a copyright of 70 or more years. Depends on the song and the author tho. Anyway I didn't want to risk it.

Some traditions should come to an end for the health of the valley. The air is contaminated enough without the added pollution from this event. Sure it looks cool and is a bit exciting; but is the hour or so of joy worth the damage that is being done to the air quality and the litter and contaminants that fall to the ground and cause further pollution ? I have an idea for a new tradition in the valley, instead of setting off fireworks for hours polluting the environment and disturbing the wildlife. Why not turn off all of the lights in the valley for an hour; no moto’s no driving; no music and experience silence and calm and maybe discover the true magic and nature of the valley; how the ancestors did in the past.
@andresonearthАй бұрын
Yeah, unfortunately its a tradition that has some negative effects, but I doubt its going to change anytime soon. It would be cool to turn off the lights jaja, but I think the bandidos would take advantage of the darkness.
