As much as I enjoy MM & W’s work with John Scofield- why couldn’t Ribot be the fourth musician they recorded three albums with? Damn.

scofield is a badass but he kinda takes over and they have to adjust to his playing style. seems like ribot jumps right in and complements medeski without railroading the show like he's adding to the conversation without always changing what's being said. i agree with your statement wholeheartedly
