Media Roundtable on International Space Exercise Vulcan Guard and National Guard Space Operations

The National Guard has performed space operations missions for nearly 30 years. In concert with the U.S. Space Force, Joint Staff and the combatant commands, National Guard soldiers and airmen across seven states provide the unit-equipped, surge-to-to-to-war- capability that only exists in the reserve component for the space mission. In some cases, Air National Guard members are the only ones doing specific space missions.
