I saw this in the newly released section on steam and picked it up on a whim. At the moment I'm in two minds about it. I am in love with the aesthetic and the sound design, but I'm not quite sure that I jive with the gameplay. Gotta give this game a bit more time

It's different gameplay wise thats for sure! I personally loved the delicate dance. Higher difficulties are wild!

Really like this game. I think I went to the main castle too early though I gotta go back and see some of the other stuff. For ten bucks it's absolutely worth it. And it does something genuinely new.

This looks to be a contender for Buddy Simulator. Both games have a break the 4th wall method with it's narrative. Fun.

I don't necessarily agree with that. The point of difficulty is so people can play however they wish.

@@IDreamofIndie take a game like Nocturne. It has a position, where without the infamous difficulty, it's a total power fantasy. Luckily the game is ball crushingly hard so you feel as though you've earned the title as the fabled "DemiFiend". The same applies to other games at a lesser extent, you want it to push you to your limits so you have to experiment. In the case of normal and easy difficulties for Everhood it's too easy to feel engaged with the combat and as though you're only a contestant in the greater scope of the game. I do respect your opinion, though.
