I Purchased This A few weeks Ago Along with 4 Hard Drives
So made a VIDEO Off Unboxing and Installing Hard Drives And
Showing you through windows all Hooked up ......(Hope You Enjoy)

If you are using just 4 single drives, then just about any 4 bay USB3.0 would work well for you as you would be limited by the speed of the single drive. This unit allows for you to create 2 sets of 2 in either raid 0 or raid 1. However, this unit also allows the use for Microsoft Storage Spaces that is included with Windows 10 which will allow you to either setup a Raid 5 where you get 3x Read speed with the 1x write speed along with 1 drive failure data security. As for me, I go for speed and use the Storage Spaces to get a 4 drive Raid 0 which gives me 4x read speed and 4x write speed as I use this as a secondary hard drive for my small form factor gaming pc/workstation.

That is True but has far has Gaming I think Nvme is the way to go working Off the MB chipset is way Faster than a External Usb Drive...

You get about 200Mbs transfer Speeds External USB 3.0

@@OLDUSAFMedic USB 3.0 is 5gbits so around 625MB/s. Your "75MB/s" speed is unrelated to USB 3.0...

Just wondering does the SMART test work on individual drives? Also does WD dashboard recognise the drives?

The Smart Test Doesnt Seem To be Recognized While In This Enclosures And I dont Have WD Dashboard At The Momment ... Might look Into getting that ...Got it for some reason WD Dashboard Doesnt see these drives in This Enclosure Not Sure why..

@@Schizo_Rez Hey Sorry About this but I Did Install Western Digital Dashboard on other Computer and Yes It Does Recognize the Drives And Smart test does work on each Drive ...Sorry once again Didn't realize the other computer didn't have any western drives in the enclosure I have 2 Of them. Hope This is Still Helpful..

DOES THE HARD DRIVES STOPS AFTER YOU UNNPLUGGED THEM? OR THEY KEEP SPINNING?

Well I don't ever unplugged.... Your windows setting they stop spinning when they are not in use and then when u access the hard drives they spin back up.. I use them for back up only ..My videos and Pics .When you shut your computer off it's shuts unit down ... start windows up they kick on... There direction that explain it..
