No, the good veins just take over. I have had this done at a specialist vein clinic in London. Best thing I ever did and worth every single penny. There is of course a now much more up to date treatment available since 2019 called Echotherapy, which is completely non-invasive.

@@Thankful305 vein stripping is no longer done because it can be painful, severe and because veins are a connective tissue they almost always return even worse than before without any healthy valves. Endovenous laser treatment is much more up to date, less expensive, has fewer complications and recurrence is rare. There is also a follow up treatment called foam guided Sclerotherapy. I have had these treatments, but I had to pay for them. There is now a more up to date treatment called Echotherapy available since 2019, which is completely non invasive.
