God bless you, Dr. Tom, for sharing such INCREDIBLE information and knowledge with us; it is SO RARE to find ANY physicians willing to take a more holistic approach to first address a problem instead of a prescription medication or procedure done right off the bat. I WISH I lived in Michigan so I could come see you! I fear I have ignored my legs too long and am now DEEPLY CONCERNED I may be borderline (if not there) with Acute Limb Ischemia! I have already had multiple procedures where my veins were "re-routed", burned, etc. a few years ago for my Peripheral Artery Disease, but it wasn't helpful AT ALL!! 😞 Now, I CANNOT stand or walk for more than 5 minutes (being generous) without both feet and both calves cramping up to where I nearly fall down and the pain is UNBEARABLE! My feet are now turning blue, my skin is EXTREMELY dry, and any wounds I get from the constant itching from my dryness and spider veins, takes months to heal up. I DON'T WANT MY FEET AMPUTATED and I'm REALLY SCARED I may be close to that point so I'm going to try EVERY SINGLE SUGGESTION you made and PRAY it helps! I get FRUSTRATED though when everyone tells me to "just exercise" because I haven't been able to make a full dinner (for example) before I'm crying in a chair with both feet cramping; do you have ANY SUGGESTIONS for this issue?? I KNOW I need to, and WANT to exercise because I know it's the most important thing I can do to help my circulation, but its like telling someone to "just put your hand into a blazing fire, it'll make you feel better in the end!" I pray you can help me with this question! In the interim, as I said, I will be doing everything else you suggested with diet, supplements, creams, and leg elevation, for sure and I THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything I DID LEARN TODAY! God bless you and your team!

Collinsonia or Stone Root helps. Varicose veins may also be from prolonged subclinical potassium deficiency (I see you touched on this after i wrote it) as well as a collagen elastin deficiency. Thank you for touching on the mechanical root causes and treatments.

Thank you for this great info. I got serious varicose veins after pregnancy. Also I was on my legs all day caring for my cats in my cat sanctuary. My veins got worse, and my legs got heavy. Now I make sure to take breaks, elevate my legs, and wear compression soaks. I also modified my diet. I eat a very large salad I mean very large with all kinds of greens and lots of kale. Salad was never my favorite but over the years I have learned to love it, and now I can't go without it. It is said that there is a lot of potassium in a large salad, your daily intake amount. I reduced my sodium. And lots of berries. And I take a variety of homeopathic products and herbs. My favorite of all time is St. Francis Vein Tonic. I would say the varicose veins have reduced by at least 80%. I am so happy because this has helped me avoid surgery. I am still working towards getting rid of the last 20%.

I'm currently taking the Horse Chestnut Extract since it was one of the supplements you recommended in the video, as well as the Missouri Vein Clinic that suggested the same thing. My question is, can the supplement be taken indefinitely, or is it meant as a short-term remedy (i.e., six months or less). Thank you for all of your expert videos. I've learned so much from your channel and it's helped educate me in the area of leg vein management and conservative treatment options. I ordered the 15-20 compression socks and they're great! Just enough support without squeezing my legs! Thank you!!

Thanks for another great video! Very much appreciated! The herb "Butcher's Broom" too is beneficial to help those with varicose veins, including improving peripheral circulation, while also increasing circulation to the arms as well. As for Gota Kola, it is also considered an excellent brain food to help improve memory, as well as fatigue.

I had surgery on my v.v and it was a n experience I'd rather not ever have to go thru. They cut me 36 times on left leg and I was not given any pain medication. It was terrible and right leg was a few days later and it was done by laser but still not painful. I'm not trying to scare anyone. I am being honest and I wish I had someone tell me this. But I had no choice at the time of surgery my pulse sounded muted and not the same as right leg. I am still in pain it has moved to inner thigh area. But I am learning other ways to help myself. I hope yall that suffer from this are ok. Best to get ultrasound. I wish I had way b4 I finally gave in. Be safe

I used Horse chestnut cream for over 2 months. It did nothing at all to clear up my spider veins. I faithfully used it twice daily as directed. My veins are actually increasing, but I walk up and down many hills where I live for several days a week. I did lose 40 pounds so there is an upside to this. I'm hoping to clear them by laser treatment.
