New US law: hospitals and medical facilities must post a list of all of their charges. That's probably why the posted their rates for procedures.

Morgan, the speculum is free w/exam! No bliss with this procedure.

2:15 you are too funny! lol. If you’re bored and have nothing better to do get a rectal exam!!!!

Funny! Was that a vending machine for over the counter meds just outside the medical center? Tony - La Lido Loca just did a video of his bill from the same ship a week after you got off.
@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides29 күн бұрын
Yes, the Bliss had a few of those types of vending machines.

Lol, maybe they should include observation of a rectal exam as part of the Latitudes ship tour! No cameras permitted though. 😄

Many people don’t know this but if you cruise more than once a year, it may be cheaper to get an ANNUAL policy. You don’t have to tell the insurance company when you cruise. I got mine through Travel Guard for $259 and includes medivac.

On our (one and only) cruise to Alaska in June on HAL, another passenger had a medical emergency on the day we were cruising into Glacier Bay. We all knew about it because there was announcement at about 6 a.m. for medical personnel to get to a certain cabin. Later in the morning, the ship had to turn around and head back to Bartlett Cove at the the opening of the bay so the passenger could be med-evaced to a hospital. Hopefully the passenger was okay. I've always wondered how much that cost. Hopefully (unlike us) they had purchased insurance that covered it.

Morgan doesn't bother filing paperwork to get his $300 medical expenses reimbursed, but instead writes a book about it and probably makes a nice profit! 😂

We always buy travel insurance for cruises. (“med evac me to miami”). Expect cost about 5% of trip

I had my replay speed set to x1.5 on the video before this, so the intro music was... interesting... ?feeling bored?" bwaahaaahaaa I had an issue with my foot on a Carnival cruise.... it was during an ship's excursion, and they checked it out for free...

Try listening on .5 speed. Everyone sounds drunk.

All ships should post medical price lists. That way, people can decide for themselves whether it's worth the money to seek treatment.

Heh...thought you had a medical issue on the Bliss. Tony from LLL had a medical situation on the same ship, so I was beginning to think that ship was cursed...

The fee for seeing the doctor is not out of line, nor you cost for getting stiches. The problem is the additional charges. Saw one video the other day where just getting a CBC was close to 400 bucks due to them charging for each item.

Must admit, a rectal exam has never been very high on my list of things to do on a cruise. I think it would need to be a very slow day to even think of it.😅😅

So, I could schedule a rectal exam like I would a massage? You are dangerously fun- I almost spewed coffee all over my keyboard.

I'm glad your keyboard was saved. I'm also still trying to find out if you can use onboard credit to pay.

Morgan, you left so much to our imagination. With my onboard credit I will be hard pressed to decide between bingo cards and an "oh ya," medical procedure.😅

People slip/trip and get strange objects in their rectum a lot. Just ask ED people. lol. And those first two expensive items? They should lead to you being medically evacuated I would think. But what do I know? I only worked Obstetrics.
