This is such a great option, much more fashionable!! I have been loving watching your videos! I am considering returning to school for OT and you're videos are great! I think designing medical products to be both fashionable and functional would be so much fun to work in!

Do these protect you from falls out of an elevated bed? I’m in college and have nocturnal seizures.
@EquipMeOT2 жыл бұрын
They would protect your head fairly well but I would imagine there is a limit of how high from the ground the fall would be before the protection would be less effective.

@@EquipMeOT the beds are at about 3ish feet off the ground

These helmets would be good protection at that height. I might also suggest a crash mat on the floor that could be pulled out at night and tucked back under the bed during the day.

Do you know if Medicare or Medicaid would cover this or any similar kind? Thanks!
@EquipMeOT Жыл бұрын
It’s possible with a well written letter of medical necessity and a script from a physician that it would be at least partially covered. Better chance through Medicaid than Medicare.

It depends on you insurance plan. It’s worth asking! Your physician will likely need to write a letter of necessity.

@@cambobee7532 You will need to contact your insurance company to see what their process is. Often you will have to purchase the item out of pocket initially and then submit to insurance for reimbursment.
