@@Medicox21 I have EXPERIENCED myself. How & why should I believe you when I know you're wrong? In Mumbai in COOPER GOVERNMENT hospital Entry fees STANDING in line, initial token used to be ₹10, which was increased to ₹30. After taking that token entry you are directed to ward. For example first to general ward. Then where ever they take you. Everywhere you'll still find line. Finally, to my utter shock, all medicines are FREE after standing in line in their own pharmacy of the hospital. Canteen of the hospital does charge you for FOOD. Medium level. For example even an Idli will cost you ₹60. Double the entry😅. Chowmein will cost you ₹120. And, these are prices I'm quoting from 2018. Then, another government hospital in Mumbai, again entry was ₹30. The final cost of injection for DOG was I think....₹60 or ₹100. Way less than any private, I agree. The cost of INTERNAL gynaec camera imaging in govt hospital was 300 something. Say, 400. In private same is 4000. So, yes it's 10 TIMES cheaper. But stop lying everywhere in India it's free. Mom never took me to govt hospital. But once older I explored & tried to thrift these few times. Even in ODISHA, biju Kalyan yojana, had it free for poor people till 5 lakhs, which BJP has removed now. Ayushman bharat is also for poor people. So, stop spreading misinformation.

Ignoring US, just compare the hygiene rules followed in India between rural (or blue collar jobs) vs urban (or white collar jobs). How many kids (and some adults) wash hands before (and after) eating food? Would the percentage would be the same?

@@harshitabhuyan8892 Definitely US is cleaner, and while bathrooms are usually dry, you could get something under the shoe. In the US, generally people do not touch surfaces especially floor as much. For India, shoes can drag a lot more more dirt and germs into rooms. In Japan too it is customary to leave shoes at the door before stepping into the living areas even though it is a clean place. For bathroom special slippers are used, but obviously not possible when outside home.

It's a good thing our government is helping the poor and for your information only 38% of bpl are muslim other 62% are hindus. And most of these poor muslims are us hindus only who got converted by violence. As for middle class people, government do provide benefits and facilities to employees and their families who are employed in government job. Average household income in India is 3.6 lpa, I am sure they can pay medical bills in case they can't then they have to be smart enough and have some kind of medical insurance for themselves and their family members. Already government has so much external debt from other countries, if they started giving benefits to middle class as well, fir to chal liya desh.

Not only healthcare, our medicines have generic category too which costs less than 1/4th price of any brand or pharma companies medicine. Grateful for this. Its not only about affordability, but also about availability accessibility services, we can make appointments as per our choice of time - now later tomorrow whenever. There are services like they come to your house to collect samples for diagnosis or anything. India is blessed in many ways which we ourselves don't realise many times.

I agree. I am indian citizen but living in USA from last three years. Issues - 1. Dont get instant treatment, even in ER room there is lot of waiting time and higher copay. In india, i can call doctor at home or visit any doctor even at night time. 2. Appointment with urologist is having 2 to 3 months of waiting in my state. In india, i can do it any time without insurance and sonography, and x-ray takes 20 dollars. 3. Pharmacy, i can medicine take it from any pharmacy , last time during covid pharmacy was out of stock and i had to request my doctor to another pharmacy but it was weekend, so i had to wait till monday. In india everyone works on monday and you can take it from anywhere. In India, you dont even need medical insurance, and still, treatment will be cheaper compared to HSA plan annual premiums in USA.

🇮🇳 Fyi: Almost all working class in India are having health insurance for their complete family from their employer. And if you are below middle class, the Government has introduced 'Auyshman card' which covers all hospitalisation expenses with cashless transactions including accommodation during hospitalisation, Pre and post-hospitalisation costs, any complications arising during the treatment. And this can be used by all family members... Ayushman card Limit is USD 6000 (INR 5 Lakhs), which is more than enough in India ✨ And the best part, basic medical services in India will not keep you waiting for an appointment for weeks or months (that happens in US, UK, and other European countries) although we have the largest population in the world. 🙏🏻🇮🇳

Wow... I get free ECG done at my cardiologists office. Or just INR 300 rupees in any hospital. USD 1400 for that simple test is absolutely bonkers.

And... it's actually quite good in India. Don't think India is a poor country...so we don't have hygienic medical hospitals. Absolutely not. We are called. *Pharmacy of the world* for a reason.

One should visit India every one or two years just for medical check up. When you compare the cost with the US, it will pay for tickets and nice vacation and you still save sometimes!

Very Nice Video Here is two important points - In the USA - Medical Expencess are very high which means the cost of expense to run these are too high- Wages/Salary in USA employees are too high, Doctor's Fees are high, and Education and certification of medical degrees and technician certifications are very high, taxation facility is very high. This result very high cost Now In India - Costs are low in comparison to the USA's expenses but in India, medical facilities are too high and not accessible of most people. These facilities are very very costly for poor people and only good for people who are working in the metro and big cities but rest of India people are dying Yes it is true - Medical tourism are good and cheaper in india.
