Dr Naresh trihaan.. He is not just the best Indian doctor...he is one of the best cardiologist in the world. Once he left India because he was called to do surgery abroad very frequently and kinda settled there because of convenience....he was called back by Indian govt and was exempted from taxes on the condition that he will live in India. Basically you didn't got operated by some Indian doctor who took less money...you got operated by one of the best cardiologist in the world.

LOVE the Indian medical system (particularly at Apollo). I'm an American settled in Chennai, and such comprehensive yearly master health checkups are unheard of in the US. Whenever my fam's in town I always take them for one. The US doctors are always so impressed with the quality and extensive nature of the medical files.

@@prabhakar379brother as an Indian, I have to disagree. I agree that your saying that for them its much cheaper, that is because of the power of the US dollar. Yes, that is the difference between 1st & 3rd world countries. Also if you have a decent insurance you can get it in the US, whether you have a connection to the upper echelon of the society or not. Not the same in India, even if you choose a high profile one, you can get scammed even there. Our medical service is high quality but not the system. More over it is not for most of the citizens, only a skewed part of the population, which is a pity.

People go to the Government hospitals in India to die or get killed by the doctors who do not care and nurses who are always chatting and shouting at the patients and their relatives. Nothing is free, You need to pay a lot to the touts. Then for every test, you need to go to the private cliniques and pay money.

Namaste 🙏🏻 Here After 14 years, I am writing this comment for the future generation of India and the world. In Corona, when the whole world was watching us and thinking that we all would die, because if countries like the USA, France, Germany, and China all developed nations failed miserably in COVID management, how could a nation with the world's largest population with 481 per km² population density, 13 times more than USA - 37 per Km²...But our people, our doctors, scientists, and Indian government proved that we can do it and can do the best, yes, India's COVID management was the best in the world. We have many foreign interferences in the disguise of some Indian media outlets that constantly blamed Indian govt for not allowing China or USA's covid vaccines; we also questioned the decision. But guess what? Later, it was found that USA and China's vaccines are the worst and have many side effects. India offered support to more than 150+ affected countries in the form of COVID vaccines, medical equipment and medicines during the pandemic. "Vasudeva Kutumbakam" (The whole world is one family) with this I hope a bright and happy future for my India and for all humanity. 🙏🏻❤️

Bypass could have been done here in nashik at INR 150000, ie $2000 approx at Sai Heart care institute and it could have been done free of cost(except medicine expenses) at SMBT hospital if you have below poverty line card issued by state govt.

Nice to hear good news about my country. There is another hospital in India South in Kerala. Known as RAJAGIRI HOSPITAL. Located in Cochin which is more cheaper than other hospitals and best care. This is from my personal experiences. My brother in law hada cardiac surgery last year.

Why do you have to be so rude to people who don't know everything about India? Please be civilized. Do you know everything about a foreign nation like say Sweden or France and its customs ? I am sure if you went about making a video in some nation like that, you would portray some stereotypes as well. That is what people do. As long as it is not insulting on purpose to the host nation, why would anyone react so unnecessarily harshly as you did is beyond reason.

It's not about race ,affordability, which part of the world etc etc....all that truly matters is that each patient was treated successfully and was given a chance at life again. This service to all of humanity is possible in every country if the needs of humans are placed first. No Dr ,no professor ,no businessman or normal person is immune from disease and suffering....to help where we can is the selfless act . Start now in your own lands and maybe you will see the benefits it brings to all humans. To the doctors and Healthcare professionals thank you for making your sacrifice and doing services to humanity.

Some states considered in 2018-19 to increase the prices for foreigners who are coming to seek medicare in private hospitals as population hospital ratio is low in India and the increasing prices of hospitals (because of foreigners coming) making people go to private-public patternship hospitals which is overloading them and increasing coat for govt

Apollo / Fortis / Columbia-Asia .... all VERY expensive hospitals in India (and not necessarily the best). There are much cheaper and good options in India. Most middle class people of India would rather avoid these brand-name hospitals if they can. But if they are able to provide good services to the more wealthy ... then more power (and money) to them, I say.

there are many good doctors in Indian. however becoming a doctor is very competitive here. beside being good at studies and skills students are supposed to bring patients for practical exams, lecturers have long salary dues and have to pay huge many to hospitals so they can practice in their premises.
