August 2nd will mark exactly 20yrs that I had my RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery and I went from 328lbs to 126lbs. 2 years ago I noticed that I started gaining my weight back. I was able to curb my gain up until 10 months ago. Now I am 46yrs old and now my weight fluctuates at about 228-235lbs. I am researching my odds on if I can revise my RNY or if it is even a possibility for me being that it’s been 20yrs. 😢 I truly hope that this can be an option bc I cannot live like this at all.

There are revisional options, namely bypass distalization. This is really the only thing that works. Not resizing the pouch, not revising the GJ. Just gotta skip more intestines.

And yet when one does thru surgery...not much is spoke of the dang horrible sagggggy skin after loooding the big weight. Even after gym time 5 days a week. The most of the most depression starts and then more money to remove it... 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

Yeah…until they allow you to have the surgery to lose 30-50 pounds, those of us in that category are left struggling…should we gain 50-70 pounds so we can qualify for the surgery? Should we just keep trying…and failing…as our weight creeps up a few pounds here and a few pounds there??? I’ve yet to hear a doctor give a realistic solution for those that have tried their hardest and need help from outside of themselves.

We do not recommend gaining weight to fit the criteria for gastric sleeve surgery, we see clients with a BMI starting at 30. We understand that weight loss surgery is not an option for everyone... so in some cases, physician prescribed medications to aid in healthy weight loss may be an option!
