I’m on day 6 of a quad/hamstring hematoma. Hoping this passes in a week.

I made a full recovery after like 6 weeks. Took a while for the swelling to go down. There is still a mass of tissue (scar tissue maybe?), but the pain is gone, and I'm back to cycling 10 hours a week.

Gawd, they can sometimes like a SOB can't they?...wishing ya all the best..hope you figured a way to stop em from happening. I'm still trying to get it right..keep swinging from too thick to too thin & back again. Just found out my D is dangerously low..so..that may finally solve everything.

I’ve had a hematoma on my right thigh part of my leg for about 3 months now. I don’t have insurance and I figured it was just a bruise that would go away. It took about 6 weeks for the bruising to go away but by month 2 I noticed a bump. By that point red flags began to go off so I began to research and found out that I had a hematoma. If any doctor is reading this do you think it will go away?? Would anyone recommend getting it drained? Is it too late to have it drained?? I live in Florida we have summer all year round. Im so I insecure about wearing a bikini with that planet looking thing hanging off my thigh😢 I don’t know what to do😭😭

Sorry you never got an answer here. What happened? I have one right now on my toe (not under the nail). I have to walk far every day i dont know how to heal it!

I have one too on my lower leg. Hurts and can't work which sucks because I am a gardener with customers I need to tend to!!!!! So frustrating

I lost 100 pounds but I got hematoma bruise on my legs feet cuts from not wearing socks hiking 🥾 an head I never new u might need surgery that's crazy.

What is a calcified hematoma

Simple, a dried up and hardened hemotoma that is primarily made up of calcium. It’s a calcium deposit.

A hematoma is basically a load of broken blood vessels which is ( a bruise) if you warm it up it will increase that hematoma causing more blood vessels. so too get rid of it you need to put ice on it.

@@rachhazza8321 thanks for the reply. I was trying to better understand a calcified hematoma versus a regular hematoma as the are advising it’s permanent unless you get surgery.
