I am remained remarkably healthy not vaccinating. The Flu shot, last I looked up, Flu wasn’t even changed in the last eight years (don’t know about this year)so why would you need it every year?

The main 4 are still covered under Part B at zero cost. The Flu, Pneumonia, Hep B, and Covid 19. The additional vaccines covered under Part D such as Shingles are now zero cost as well.

Do you have a video on how it works to switch over to Medicare A and B and switching from TriCare Prime to TriCare for Life. Who pays first? Medicare or TriCare? Also wife is 58 years old. I'm 64. Will turn 65 April 20, 2024. How will this switch affect my wife? Will she still be TriCare Prime or TriCare for Life? Sorry, the more I watch the more questions I have. Thanks for your videos

You get TriCare For Life at 65 when you enroll in Medicare A&B. In order to keep Tri-Care for Life, you have to enroll in Medicare A & B when eligible. Medicare becomes primary insurance and Tri-Care a Secondary. There are Medicare plans that coordinate with Tri-Care for Life and in many areas they help reduce your Part B premium with monthly premium reductions and they are enriched with additional benefits at no cost to you. I am confused. I thought that Part B covered doctor administered medication and Part D covered self administered medication. If the shingles shot is covered under Part D at no cost, are we expected to give the shot to ourselves?

No. Vaccines are not under the "umbrella" of other medications because they are not a treatment, they are preventative.

@@Andy-hg8dv No, not in the way that we all know it. I was very very surprised to find this out about a month ago! They cover an "annual wellness visit" which is not the same thing. He mentions this term in the video. I believe he's done other videos explaining it in more detail, and just about every "Medicare" channel has a video about it.

I’m confused on this. I thought Medicare paid for doctors visits, and whatever the doctor decided was needed. If i go into the doctor and complain of chest pains, is he allowed to give me an EKG? If i tell him there’s blood in my bowel can he do a prostate exam and possibly a colonoscopy? Can he basically do a physical if i lead him through possible symptoms that would cover a standard physical?
