Flowers around Christmas time in Malawi... Kalahari Christmas Tree! But seriously armed with thorns in these parts. Planting as live fence.

Thanks for posting. In northern Namibia they form dense stands of interlocking chest-high bushes in areas of overgrazing.

Yes, a good indicator of overgrazing, a bit like the silverleaf terminalia.

Great video, thank you. I don't know about the plant being unarmed though. Ours have vicious spines - real tyre shredders.

coolest thing about these trees is that the yellow part of the flower turns white after pollination, the reason i assumes is that the yellow attracts insects, and white does not . i hope i am not wrong tho :D

Which plant can remove inflammation from the brain?
@AfricanPlantHunter Жыл бұрын
That's a tough question, as inflammation in the brain can be caused by many different things. I think you would need a more specific diagnosis to be able to answer that one.

Also great for pets like rodents and parrots as chew toys.

The good thing about Gus is that he is eloquent in Shona. The culture is very rich with medicinal knowledge but one has to understand the language to gain entry into the secrecy surrounding witchcraft and herbs used to reverse the symptoms. Well done Gus👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
