In this video, I will discuss all you need to know about medicine super specialty training in the UK. ST training in medicine lasts for four years in the UK and at the end of it the candidates get a CCT or Certificate of Completion of Training which is equivalent to DM in India.
In this video you will get to know about:
1) Categories of specialties
2) Duration and rotation of training
3) Entry and exit level criteria
4) Application details
5) Training structure

Hello Dr. Roy, I have got calls from certain consultants regarding medicine training in India for approx 2-3 years during which they will train me in different pvt hospitals and prepare me for mrcp simultaneously. According to them all the training and coaching will be in India and I won’t have to travel to the UK during this period. All this process requires me completing my internship after MBBS in India and no pg degree is required. And acc to them i will be entering uk as st3. I would like to know if this path is possible.

Hi Sourabh You are probably talking about IMT training pathways in India which is fast gaining popularity as a means of bypassing NEETPG and starting speciality training in the UK. It is indeed a validated pathway as many candidates have entered ST training in the UK via this route. However, this route is not without it's share of disadvantages. So please make sure you are adequately informed about the pros and cons before considering this route.

While watching the videos, i have come across a form that is called the alternative certificate for core competencies. I would like to know, if having that and gmc registration with a full pass on mrcp, will make me eligible to join a medical residency in internal medicine UK. Then I would be eligible for MTI? Also I would like to know that if GMC registration can be obtained after passing MRCP PART 1 ???? If I would like to get into FY2 LEVEL/NON TRAINING JOB after passing MRCP PART 1, instead of MTI, would that be possible?
