I had the chance to hear this in Dresden. It was a sublime experience. The orchestra, cast, staging, light ... everything was perfect. Remarkable were the moments, where we've heard Brangäne's warning calls and in Act 3 Tristan's febrile delirium, powerfully played by KFV. Thanks for the recording.

Я також чув її у Дрездені з Фогтом. Дуже розчарований саме її співом, голос ніяк не hochdramatisch. Оркестр, всі інші годились, а вона була вправна і все. Ні-чо-го!

Heard her "Frau Ohne Schatten" Empress here in San Francisco a few years ago. She's pushed her voice really hard over the years it seems. It's a beautiful instrument that she definitely knows how to use, but it's an instrument that has grown wobbly. It's a pity.

Багато разів чув її на сцені у різних партіях. Вразила тільки у Марі з "Воццек", була надзвичайна, особливо акторськи. А всі штраусовські ролі, не кажучи вже про вагнерівські, -аж ніяк. Я дійсно вражений тим, що вона має гарну пресу, хоча, як на мене, їй треба заборонити цей репертуар. Невже люди не мають вух?

What dreadful acting. Why would anyone let her hold her hands out like that and keep them out? And the expression of her mouth with one side lower than the other. She would have been better advised to keep her hands down and still. The vocal acting is also uninteresting. There is no sense of passion, of redemption, of transfiguration. How is it possible that we are seeing such amateur direction in 2024?
