seasonal field management is pretty nice i remember before i just designated plots for specific crops because i never felt like constantly changing it every season i just made sure i had something constantly growing lol

I have two fields; one grows oats in spring and rye in fall (or in some years flax in spring and cabbage in summer), the other grows wheat in fall and cabbage in summer, and the fertilizer made from composting the cabbage is itself just about enough to fertilize all the other crops! Would be nice to set-and-forget.

Seasonal management for fields is honestly the biggest QoL change for me! I am so glad they finally got around to implementing it into the game.

Something I don't like about the community is those who think this game is a Stardew Valley , people have to understand that this game is a medieval life and survival simulator . Bandits exist, armor exists and wars exist, Don't like it? Disable it in the options, I love it and I hope for more 🙏🗿

Wars exist? I'm 6 years into my campaign and the largest conflict so far has been a 1 v 2 against bears. It feels very much like Stardew Valley and I think that's a good thing! It's a great relaxing experience after work imo

It's definitely a "cozy is in the eye of the beholder" game sometimes, and I do think that if you turn off all the danger, it shades into Stardew-like territory, but I think of it more as Diet Valheim (and Sengoku Dynasty as "if they tried to turn Ghost of Tsushima into a village builder", at least since the 1.0 Daimyo update and the clearing of bandit camps for progression.)

While the new content is great, I am still wondering why I can't customize my own villagers? Why don't they use the new armor or fancy clothing? Why do I need armor and weapons, when my villagers can't be assigned as guards or doing patrols?

How does the player marriage system work with the heirs? Normally after the child is born your partner has to sit around for 2 years raising the child, and I'm pretty sure they aren't just going to have one player play a parent simulator for two in-game years. Does this also then imply the ability for us to have multiple children? Becuase if two players marry, they both need an heir to play as when their character dies.

Let us build things within the settlement if we have the materials in the resource building. Would be a big quality of life update. Having to run back and forth from the resource building is one of my only complaints about the game.

If by "we" you mean a small but vocal subset of the playerbase, then sure. Most players prefer to keep the combat and the village-building on separate levels, whether it's fighting animals or running into bandits on the roadways.
