Even better! Prime with red, zenital with white, then iyanden yellow. Feels like almost cheating! The zenital will make the red almost pinkish, which will make very nice orangish shadows with the yellow contrast paint.

Really like this way of painting Iyanden. Just starting an army and a lot of the ways I see them painted makes them look almost too vibrant. This is a little darker, adds a lot more depth but still had great pop and contrast. And considering their lore is rather grim I like this vibe. Thank you!

That is some solid yellow! Very clean and quite achievable. Also makes for a great basis to take it up a notch or two with highlights. Just a little Phalanx Yellow on the armor and a bit of Hoeth Blue on the helmet and this scheme goes from "perfect for painting a lot of models fast" to "perfect for that Autarch or Farseer".

The yellow would pop more if the contrast paint was done over a brighter white. Could easily skip the Yriel yellow step then.

sorry but for me, 3 coast of yellow with a brush, this is not speedpainting .... how long per mini ? .. nice result though

I did say that in the video lol. It was part of a speed painting series. Still I’d say 20 minutes a model to get all the yellow done. It so for sure the slowest of the series.
