I love the accessibility of these schemes. They look sharp, but are readily achievable by a range of hobby skill levels. Saw this one and knew I was gonna love your other content. One of the fastest subscribes I've ever done to a channel. Keep it up!

I've never used the contrast paint, my son got warhammer from Santa. He let me paint one of his Seraphon guys, and I'm instantly hooked! I really like the look of the Slaves to Darkness sets, and I'm definitely going to try out some of your painting techniques when I buy them.

Quick question. What would you use to highlight the zandri dust parts?
@MediocreHobbies2 жыл бұрын
I’d probable just throw a bit of bone into the zandri for the highlight.

Hey, Andy, so for the black bags/pouches around his waist you just painted them contrast black and washed them with sepia, right?
@MediocreHobbies2 жыл бұрын
I did indeed. So manny layers of fabric on the model I didn’t want to add another. Was scared he would start looking like a clown.

@@MediocreHobbies I can totaly relate to your comments about the gazillion of layers of rags. :D

Really fantastic video, I'm blown away by how clearly you articulate the process while at the same time great close up footage of your brush strokes. Contrast pain has a bad reputation and the calmness by which you use it has really dispelled some of my fears. I do have a question though about between the steps (paint changes), are you letting the paint dry completely? The footage makes it look a little wet when you move to the next step - is that deliberate, are doing some kind of wet blending? Thanks.
@MediocreHobbies2 жыл бұрын
I do not wait for it to dry. It’s not deliberate I just paint fast and do not want to wait lol. Thank you so much for the kind words. Those kinds of messages really do keep me motivated. Glad you found the channel.
