This one has always been my favourite. Christian's hushed tone on this one is perfect for me and not to much talking and explaining. The environmental effects really immerse you in the train ride and that's why this one is by far the best to me.

I don’t typically leave too many comments on KZbin. But I have to thank you for this video! I have used it to fall asleep just about every night for about a year now. I‘be always fallen asleep before even making it on the train! Just this last week was the first time I’ve made it on the train before falling asleep lol. The voice is SO calming and comforting. And the sounds are just interactive enough while staying completely soothing. Thank you for this.

I can go for 72 hours with no sleep, sleep for an hour or two, then repeat for the next 3-4 days. Then I'll sleep all day, stay awake all night and then go to sleep at sunrise. I repeat that for the next week, and then I repeat the entire cycle over again. My doctors are genuinely baffled at how I do it. My constant severe exhaustion is so severe to the point that I now have to attend an online school rather than go to a physical school. I'm a senior in high school. Not only did I want to enjoy my last year, but I also can't be messing around with grades. I want to get into a good college and have an actual future. So, at this point, sleep is critical. I've tried therapy, mediations, hypnosis, binaural beats, herbs, teas, MANY heavy prescriptive meds, and many other routes, but none of worked.. until this. For some reason, it just really calms me. Whenever I listen to these types of things, my mind wanders and spirals and it's just more noise adding to the constant chatter in my skull. But this? It brings the warm feeling of a nostalgic memory that I can't quite place. A place I don't remember, but definitely have been. Another realm. It also helps that trains are extremely calming to me. So what I'm trying to say here is thank you. Thank you so much. Thanks to you, I can get a bit more shut eye than I usually do :) I do hope for more from whoever narrated this specific video. Their voice reminds me of my dad who has passed. It's one of the reasons this video can actually get me to sleep. If I get more of this narrator and more stuff to do with trains or cars (traveling at night in trains or cars is one of the most relaxing thoughts for me), I'll be set

@Danielle Rose. Christian Thomas is the author and narrator of this sleep meditation. If you haven't already, I suggest you subscribe to his channel (set notifications for "all"). He has over three hundred meditations so there are many types of journeys....beach destinations, cabin in the woods, under the sea, outer space and one I highly recommend is his sleep and let go car ride. It's my go to when I really need to relax.

@goracks696 жыл бұрын
Meditation Vacation Hey, sorry for delay. I’ve thought about it, and narrowed it down to 5 things: tone, volume, pace, accent and pauses. First, your tone/pitch/timber is perfect. Your voice is right in the sweet spot. Not too low, not too high. Just the right amount of deepness to be perfect for this. Second, the volume that you speak when recording is just right, too. It’s low, but not too low (like asmr which I’ve tried, and find really distracting when trying to sleep, as it just seems like a loud whisper to me). My brain ends up straining to understand what is being said with asmr instead of it fading into the background like your voice does when Im falling asleep. So your volume is just right. Third, the pace with which you speak is great too. There’s been a video or two of yours I tried where we were taking a journey through space. You spoke just a little faster, and I couldnt fall asleep to it. But this train video, and your astral projection video should be used as a benchmark (by all sleep channels) when finding the right pace. Fourth, your accent is very soothing as well. Don’t get me wrong, not all british accents sound nice. If you were speaking with a Cockney accent, I would still be looking at other channels. But your accent is quite pleasant. Lol. Lastly, the pauses you choose are great. I was not expecting the (sometimes 10+ second) pauses you use to be such an effective tool. Where you choose to use them is integral as well. Short pauses are fine in the first 15-20mins, but long pauses that early would cause me to question if my wifi was down, waking me up. But i find the long pauses really helpful towards the end of the video, as Im drifting off to sleep. It’s not just one thing you do that works. It’s everything you do together that all adds up to make this the premier sleep channel I choose. It’s like you were born to do this. Your gift is your voice, and I’m glad you’re sharing it. 😃 P.S. I had an idea for content for you as well. Taking us on a journey through space (describing the Pillars of Creation and the God’s Eye and other beautiful vast spacescapes), is excellent, but maybe at this pace and not the pace of your other space video. Or we could explore some fictitious underwater structure in the Marianas trench. Or even just floating down a lazy river. The content is not nearly as important as how you speak, but those are ideas I would generally gravitate towards.

This is just right for me. When I'm trying to relax and fall asleep the last thing I need is being given a whole series of orders: breathe like this or like that, lie on your back or concentrate on this or that, and endless body scans. No thank you! Being taken on a trip to sleep with just the right wording n perfect pace and sounds, that's heaven. Th you so much!

This is hands down my favorite guided meditation ever to help me fall asleep. I've listened to MANY different ones from different people and this is my gold standard. The combination of story telling, sound effects and quiet background music (which, side note, I normally hate piano music in a meditation but this is such a low key lullaby it works perfectly) create such a peaceful, relaxing experience. Bravo, sir, and many heartfelt thanks for such an involved and wonderfully executed project. Thank you again!

@@davebeecher6579 Bonjour, David, Thank God here in France we think the worst is behind us. It's taken over 2 months of extremely strict nation wide stay at home measures but that's been the price to pay. As of May 11th in France's administrative districts where the virus is no longer very active, these lockdown measures are progressively being eased up. Paris and some of the surrounding areas are still considered virus active red zones. My home zone is still in the red. Some businesses like hair dressers, garden centers, book stores, DIY/hardware stores, small scale clothes boutiques etc. have opened under very strict social distancing measures but not large public gathering places like cinemas or restaurants There's still a long road ahead of us and many people here are still in the first stages of mourning but life goes on. Some days are easier than others and when the day is done I'm so glad to travel with Christian. He's been heaven sent! Guess what I listened to last night? I hope you and yours are safe too. Pl keep vigilent, this virus won't do us any favors.

I do love this and have been listening to it every night now for about a month. The only thing about it that I find distracting is the contradiction in the number of people boarding the train. At the very beginning it says that all around there are people waiting to board the train. Then, when I get on the train, it says because it is so late, there are no others to get on the train. Along the way at the various stops, others get on the train. Without those contradictory statements, this would be perfect.

Agh this is fabulous, I normally experience anxiety in the mornings just after I wake up but when I listen to this the night before it doesn’t seem to happen! Is there any other videos similar to this ? I’ve been listening to this for about 6 ish months and I would love another video similar to this to listen away to

I’ve been trying several sleep meditations, and very often they disturb me, although I might fall asleep. This meditation is so perfectly made. Outstanding in atmosphere, very subtle sounds and very real. It always bring back happy memories of my first holidays traveling through Europe to Greece, crossing the mountains in Austria, Switzerland. And often I fall asleep. I am very curious about the meditation mentioned here for when you woke up at night. Thank you so much for your work sir.

This was a hard one to do because I was going off the feedback of everyone who liked my previous train meditation. I scrutinised everything from the sounds, the music, my voice, even down to the picture you see. I’m glad it’s being well received and that you like it😉Thankyou for supporting me on patreon, that means a lot. It's like a masterpiece. I'm almost crying. My 4th grade of uni is going to start soon. I'm really confused about which way should I go. I want to go to a graduate school, but I have some troubles with financial issue. Actully I almost gave up. But I decide to just try. Even if I ended up missing out on my opportunity for that matter, I think it's regretful to not try. I really want to study in much bigger country, US. please hope I can catch my dream.
