2:30 A bonding with T and C bonding with G is called Watson-Crick base pairing, when human names are used. Chargaff's Rule was similar, but different: it only said that the amount of adenine is equal to the amount of thymine, and the amount of cytosine is equal to the amount of guanine. It does not attempt to explain why, and doesn't involve base pairing. It is one piece of information that Watson and Crick used to come up with their model, which had A bonding with T and C bonding with G.

Sir i think ENZYME GYRASE is used for opening the two strands.
@palakkumari27004 жыл бұрын
1:58 so the two new strands you said are from another parent? I mean are template from one parent and the new strands from another parent? Please answer me... Plz
@MEDSimplified4 жыл бұрын
No, the two new starnds are formed new. They are not serviced from any parent
@palakkumari27004 жыл бұрын
@@MEDSimplified thank you sir. One more thing, dna copying takes place before meiosis,then if there is one dna prior to copying then after copying it becomes double and when meiosis occurs it gets divided into 2 cells i.e. 1 dna to each. But then when the two gametes fuse, that 1 dna becomes double, then how the no. Of chromosomes remains same in a zygote???
