I must admitt its very seldom that you meet a professional that is so passionate about what they do.. you can hear it in the sound of his voice.. may you be Blessed uterly for standing on the receiving end and wittness how YHWH uses you to assist in the birthing process.

You should monitor the frequency of the contractions. When they are coming regularly, every 5-7 minutes, I would recommend going in to get checked. You are one of the fortunate few, this is not the typical way 99% of people experience labor. You may have some false alarms and get sent home a few times but if you are having regular contractions, you should be checked.

Me, too :D I came to the hospital, told the nurses I thought I was in labour and the midwives were like "Aha sure, yeah, ok, we'll be with you in a second" and went back to reviving a new dad who passed out in labour room. When they got around to checking me out, I was at 9 cm and they were kind of embarrassed 😀

Right! One thing I can say for sure is every pregnancy is different and so is every woman. I am 36 weeks now and this pregnancy is 100 times different than my son (15 years ago) I felt very little pain but my mucus plug came out that morning- went to the doctor to make sure things were ok the next morning and I was 5cm dilated. They told me to go straight to the hospital and I had my son that night.. lol

My water broke like in the movies lol, so I knew it was time! I started having regular contractions but they did start out mild, just as he explained. Over time they became 100% obvious, I had to breathe through them, eventually there may have been some primal animal noises coming out during transition 🤣

I was all smiles until I was 7cm, then after that was just a normal face. I have a high pain tolerance,they couldn’t believe I was a 7cm. I got on the scale,then changed in my gown,they checked and I was a 10 and my water broke. I went in because my mucus plug came out and not even 2 hrs it was time to push,but I ended up getting an emergency c-section.

Hello,I'm 38 weeks due on aug2 and I have GBS positive and I mention to my doctor that isn't best to go to the hospital before my contraction get worst ? That way I can be put into antibiotics 4 hours before labor...And he said to go when it's 5 minutes apart ...what do u think doctor I think that's to late to go in for a women who has GBS positive .
@cynthiareitz78756 жыл бұрын
i was beta strep positive and they still want you when your contractions are 5 mins apart but you don't immediately pop out the baby. i got my antibiotics in time. i was super worried about that too but everything went fine

I was checked at my appt yesterday n found out that I'm 3cm dilated. Like even right now I'm having easy BH contractions but Idk if its worth going to L&D. I wish I was the type of pregnant woman that be hunched over in pain from contractions. Atleast then I'd know when to go to the hospital.

Well that sucks cuz with all my pregnancies, I've never had contractions that had me bent over in pain. I'd be hooked to a monitor at L&D just to see that I'm in active labour n my contraction rate really high, I just don't feel them. So when ppl say "oh when it in real labour, u will know it" to me, its not true. It always happens by chance at like the stress test or at an appt, my last one only went in cuz I had a feeling my water broke but I wasn't feeling the contractions. I got to the

But it leaves me in wonder as to how do I, or others like me, know when is the right time to go to the hospital? I am 34 weeks pregnant and I woke up early this morning (couldn't sleep at 5:45 am) and I sat down to have a tea, and it felt like I was leaking ( I def can tell the difference between peeing and the other) I've also had nauseousness and some cramping, also BH contractions, but I don't want to go in and be told my test was neg. for amniotic fluid, I've heard of tears at the top and trickling down around the sac, and also I have an anterior placenta, any thoughts doctor?
@MedTwice10 жыл бұрын
If your membranes are ruptured the leaking will continue until the baby is delivered. So I would put on fresh cloths, enjoy your tea, and if your fresh cloths become wet you should go in and be checked. I took my wife in with our second child worried that her water broke, we had a negative test and were sent home. The point is it can be difficult to tell the difference without a good exam and a test for fluid. Don't be embarrassed about a false alarm. Better to go in and be sent home than to sit at home with an unrecognized problem.
@stephshan10 жыл бұрын
Med Twice thanks for your response, since then, no leaking, but I've had some back pain that I tried to alleviate by walking around, changing positions (from sitting on a chair) and drinking water, it's still a dull ache in my lower back and this dull ache is the same thing I had when I had pre term labour at 29 weeks. Still trying to hold off (because when I had pre labour at 29 weeks, I started having contractions I was breathing through, and thought nothing of it, only to later have to be transferred for pre term labour to another hospital)
