My sisters and I are learning to make this dish by ourselves since we moved out town away from our mom. I really like how you did this video in English and Hmong. I’m the 2nd eldest of my siblings and grew up speaking Hmong but my sisters not so well. Unfortunately I’m not good at speaking Hmong anymore, but I can still understand it so this video was helpful in bringing back some of that language. I’ll show this video to my sisters and hopefully it helps them connect the English and Hmong words and their meanings together. Thank you for this video!

Hi chanloey, I am glad this video speaking in bilingual is helpful to you. My goal is to retain both the authentic Hmong food and modern Hmong food recipes for future Hmong generations and everyone else in the globe. Thank you very much for watching.

Can you post your written recipes in the comments area? That would be helpful to me. Thank you! Love you and your cooking! Are you from MN? I’m following you from Seattle area. No Hmong restaurants here. I have to make every Hmong dish I crave.😁

Siste Mee, next time can you show the bottles of all the seasoning sauce you used? I think it would be very helpful due to too many different brand’s of sauce out there. Thanks

Did you boil the eggs in plain water and peel them before putting them into the brown sauce in the pot? I don't like fat meat (pork belly). Can I just use pork without fat for the recipe?
@maika80602 жыл бұрын
Mee, I’ve made sweet pork multiple times but in small batches for just my family. You used 4 pounds of pork and 2 cups of sugar. If I’m making for a large gathering using the large Hmoob lauj kaub that people use at funeral, how much sugar would I use? Thank you. Love all your recipes.
@meeliving13452 жыл бұрын
Hi Maika, I would estimate how many pounds of meat you will cook in the big pot and calculate the sugar accordingly. Is the big pot size 50 or 60?
