Yep, as chronic cigar 'chewer', these kinda mouthpieces seem to work well for limiting the amount of nicotine intake from a good-sized cigar. Unfortunately most of 'em are also kinda pricey, so found an easy DIY by simply cutting a couple inches off a nice hardwood branch, bored it out on the drill press, and then did some 'custom-shaping' on the belt sander, followed by applying a bit of (canola) oil finish. Not quite 'meerschaum', though seems to do the job.... and thx very much for the idea!
