glad you’re back!😁 crookshanks is sooo adorable and the cage is so cute! 😍 just one thing, I’d recommend taking the bendy bridge divider out and using cardboard or solid wood instead because he could get his limbs broken and even die from it 🙃 where’s you get that pumpkin hideout thing btw? it’s so cool looking!!!

Thanks! I have gotten a few previous concerns on the bendy bridge divider, but there are absolutely no gaps in between the dowels, I've tried stuffing bedding/moss in between the dowels but they're so tight together that there aren't any gaps. So there is no chance of him getting his limbs caught and broken in the bridge, I've made sure of it 🙂. I actually got the pumpkin hideout at Target, it was supposed to be a candy holder or something lol, but it's perfect for hamsters.

@@Allthingshamster I still wouldn’t trust it and to be on the safe side, it’s best to remove it which can save you hundreds of dollars in vet fees and many hours of worrying if something were to happen, but you do you 😀 oh, okay! that’s so cool! I wish we had target here, it sounds like they have some pretty awesome stuff! 😁

Aww! He’s so cute! His cage is awesome. Also I love his name. I was obsessed with Harry Potter when I was 9. It was insane. My hamster suddenly got really antisocial and won’t let me hold him and he keeps biting me. Even if he’s out of his cage or anything. Do you think I should try to re do the taking process or would that stress him out too much because he’s kinda old.

Haha, thank you! Hmm, i would re-do the taming process, but if It does seem to stress him out with no luck of stopping him from biting, maybe try giving him small treats everyday with no handling until he associates you with treats and maybe he'll become more social. I'm really bad with taming and I've honestly got no method other than: 1. Give treats 2. Let the hamster sniff you after a couple days 3. Lead the hamster on your hand with a treat 4. Only handle/pick up the hamster when you and the hamster seem comfortable lol And really just a repetition of giving food and leading the hamster on your hands with food. Try leaving him alone for a couple of days until he seems like he wants interaction... for example coming up to the glass when you're there. He probably knows the one who gives him food so maybe he'll come around. I know it's really not much but maybe this helps.

In general, yeah, I'd try the taming process over. Hopefully it won't stress him out if you just interact with him when he's active and awake ofc. My comment was unnecessarily long haha 😄

@@Allthingshamster this lil ham really isn’t good driven lol. He usually doesn’t take treats out of my hands. He instead bites me when I offer him a treat unless it’s some baby food in a spoon. Idk. I’ve never had to tame a hamster before because my first hamster was just tame from when I got him and my current hamster was handled since he was a baby at the rescue I adopted him from. He was really friendly from day 1, but all of a sudden he got really aggressive and antisocial. Idk. I’m probably gonna leave him alone for a little while and keep offering treats and see if he will take them.

@@Idkitsadeletedchannel Good luck! I hope he becomes more social. It's really hard taming them when they're not exactly food-motivated or bite when food is given. Still trying to figure out how to tame Olive, my sister's hamster. 😕 We use gloves to handle her. Taming is the worst/hardest part of owning a hamster in my opinion, all hammies have different personalities.
