My favourite episode of Meet David Sedaris. David regales us with the story "The Incomplete Quad" from his collection "Naked".

Not just a “funny man.” Something ineffably sad about him too, and almost always he puts himself down. I like him, and I love his writing.

I’ve not listened to this guy in ages. The guys a writing genius. His life expectancies is incredible. Today is the 8th July 2018 and I’m in hospital and this is perfect alternative to music.

I always love David's combination of humour and pathos. I was lucky enough to see him record a show for radio 4 this year. Not everyone likes his thing but I see him as being in the great tradition of storytellers.

There are only two classes of people in the world. Those who get David Sedaris’ humor and those who are less sophisticated than I am.

I always listen to David weeping ..... tears of joy and despair ....I guess I am his target audience...anyway off to clear a nearby hedge of litter.....

What is his target audience? Miscasts? Outsiders? He speaks to me unlike any other, unlike Augusten Burroughs or Rakoff (RIP), David can be mean and selfish, but never comes off as self-obsessed or vain.

Yay,... Kent State! I attended there in the mid 1970s,....years after the Kent State (war protest) killings. They erected a new fabulous arts studio building. I took studio art classes there in the summer months, while on summer vacation from my regular college, Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio. Where I was pursuing my BFA.

I love David so much. Hard to take the a-holes laughing at handicapped people.
