Figure has created the second most advanced humanoid robots and that is truly amazing when you think about it that this company is only 2 years old.

@@sesamring7065 Personally, I think that Optimus Gen 2 is still slightly more advanced than the Figure 02, especially in terms of walking and general speed. As far as the rest goes, Figure has caught up a lot. We can look forward to Gen 3 Optimus.

Really excited about the progress so far but I’m hopeful for the potential upgrades in the future. Imagine if the camera’s had Night-Vision or they allowed Remote-VR Control with 2-way communication capabilities! This would allow the controller to have full access to the robot for dangerous or troubleshooting complex tasks.

I look at a movie like Chappie, but even then those robots weren’t that armored, you’ll need T-800 type armor if anything, movies/ Hollywood overhype the strength of Titanium alloy, and so we’d need better materials.

This evolution requires to give some thought about distribution of wealth and income. This evolution of technology is only good if it doesn’t (at minimum) harm the life of those directly affected by this evolution. This observation was always true. For example globalisation (putting local workers in major difficulties without a fighting chance to adapt and enhancing the profits those moving those jobs) had the same effect almost instantly starting in the 80ies. The question is are we able to have gentle societies or is pseudo Darwinian thought and practice the only way to go?
