Working on a Mk 4 RS for a client that currently runs 240 hp and will soon be running more. Full-body restoration is my "part" of the process. Engines gone off to be "breathed on" elsewhere. That ^^ is a cracking looking MK1 - absolutely stunning car. I do like a fast Ford..

I have this car's grand child as you can tell by the profile picture. The squared headlights and CVH motor is a throwback to the original escort. Mine is more mazda based, but it has the English motor and is relatively small and simple. I gotta replace quite a few things on my 1994 Ford Escort LX Sport Coupe, including the timing belt. Even my aunt is confused about it, an American compact car with mazda stuff and an english motor.😅

what a beautiful escort and a brilliant owner too, the two of them were made for eachother 👍👍. My grandad had a bottle green mk1 escort and when he took me with him when i was 4 to trade it in i cried and refused to leave the car! Ive never owned an old sporty escort but they are definitely one of the standout memories of growing up in the late 70s and throughout the 80s, superb stuff! great video too 👍👍👍

Fabulous Escort and video, thank you for posting. As a 16 & 17 year old I had a 1971 J-reg Mk1 Escort 1.1 with go-fast wheels, but unfortunately it didn't look and sound anywhere near as good as this 😀

Hi looks good however you can't have Mexico on the car when it's not..as for the bhp , I had my mk1 Mexico with first engine 1760 with 125 bhp @ the wheels & I also had another engine 17.00 cc with 120 bhp @ the wheels @ 6.000 revs..both with twin 40 carbs..
