Spent the summer working in Alaska. Experiencing raven encounters was some of the coolest parts of it all they are truly amazing creatures making an array of wicked sounds that you hear throughout the day. Was playing a flute on a Boulder when a raven parted from the flock and decided to circle me slowly and making eye contact. It understood what I was doing and how I was doing it and enjoyed the sounds. Communicating with another species is a wild feeling, especially with music!

This Raven was rescued about 6-7 years ago and he bonded with the volunteer who nursed him so they are now truly bonded. This reflects the great and selfless work volunteers who work with injured wildlife can make and the love they feel for the animals tney care for. People who disliked the video do not know the backstory.

I don’t usually make comments like this, but I just want to point this out. Today I lost a pet that was very dear to me, it was a raven I had rescued was I was 6, I am now 15. He was my dearest companion, he had been tamed and had sat on my shoulder a lot of the time. He was with me through ups and downs, but today while I was sitting in my backyard I had let him roam around, then he was snatched by a predatory bird. My best friend, was murdered right in front of my eyes. I was bullied a lot as a child and didn’t have many friends, and I had considered suicide after he had passed away. You and several other people have gotten me to get past the denial, I would like to personally thank you, you had unknowingly saved my life with your content. I would like to have a memorial for him, but sadly that is not possible. Therefore I would like this comment to go out to my best lifelong friend, Rest In Peace buddy, I hope your cawing in your nest up there, where nothing can hurt you. R.I.P Cosette, not just a friend but a brother to me. July 2011 - June 2020. 🙏

I had to put down my best friend after he was severely crippled by a dog, so I can understand and empathize. It was the most painful and agonizing thing apart from losing my mom. Grief is not exclusive to human to human relationships; it can be felt between any human and animal. My grandma used to say that grief never leaves your heart, you just find new places to put it. I'm sure he had a wonderful and very fulfilling life with you. Just remember, he'd want his human to take good care of themselves and to be happy, no matter what.
