Original from Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Son of a seamstress and merchant. His birthplace and family are the root of his creativity: weaving, markets, townspeople, and regional music. Although he has had great success in the fashion industry, the backbone of Mancandy is music. ‪@BadBunnyPR‬ ‪@jbalvin‬ ‪@Maluma_Official‬ and others, have all been dressed by MANCANDY with his “genderless” concept that has made him an icon in the LGBTQ+ scene. Vogue awarded him the “Who’s on next” Recognition from Mexico and Latin America, and by the words of Vogue LatAm, “MANCANDY is an ‘intrepid’ artist who defies all limits.” “Gaygional Mexicano” is MANCANDY’s movement to connect the Regional Mexicano with the LGBTQ+ community.
