Meet Mansur, man's bear friend - BBC News

Playing with bears is not to be advised, but a pilot in Russia has formed a special bond with an animal that was abandoned in 2016.
Mansur was just a tiny cub when he was found and still plays with his "guardian", Andrei Ivanov, now that he is grown.
He was raised with advice from local biologists and now lives at a decommissioned air base in Kaluga Region.
Cared for by a team of admirers, he has his own enclosure and a fenced-off area of adjacent woodland to roam in at will.

Few words about human rights in Russia...We have different society that isn't accustomed to seeing blacks (=afroamericans?=afro??) and minorities on the street. I remember as a child I thought that the man was in the mud. Most of them are medical students, who leave after studying. I’m 20 and even now it’s almost impossible to see a non-white-skinned adult on the street. I live in a city with a population of over a million. We had no problems with dark-skinned slaves and shooting gays in clubs. We are on a different continent and we have a different history, so let my country develop in its own direction.

So you think the bear would have been better off being bear baited for wild dogs??? They tried to put him in the right place and look what happened. This bear would NOT survive in the wild. He appears to have everything he needs and he definitely has a better life than what was ahead of him before they rescued him for the second time. Don't get me wrong, I agree all wild animals belong in the wild but there are some circumstance, like this one, where things have to be different.

WOW WOW WOW hang on a minute, they did not kill this bears mother in front of him, they did not kill the mother at all, presumably a hunter is responsible for that - I do understand what you are saying but without these guys intervening this bear would have either died or remained in that bear baiting farm - surely you agree that is NOT a life for any animals least of all a bear - they are trying to do their best for this animal and I think that takes great care and dedication
