holy shit, this is breathtaking. this is amazing. not only the artstyle, but the song choice, the slight animation, the timing with the perfect lyrics matched to the perfect scenes - every image feels like it's breathing life into the characters and every emotion is so perfectly conveyed. i feel like some of this matches with the moods of the story of OTGW better than some of the actual canon scenes! this is lovely and i'm definitely going to be saving it to my phone to show other people

I don't think it exist a more beautiful tribute to this serie. This song fits so well, you'd think it was written specifically with this show in mind. And you illustrated the lyrics in the most powerful way possible. The way you show how Wirt't journey into the unknown is affecting his life, how he's growing more mature, the call-back to every single episodes, the look on Beatrice's grave... it's like you put everythink that made this show what it was in these five minutes and made it even better. This is absolutely beautiful, every frame is smoothly animated with transitions that effectively show the story of the show 🩷 I love the small, subtle movements of the main drawings. They really bring the characters to life!! Like when Wirt's cape flutters in the wind when he's momentarily portrayed as The Beast, or the sun rays shifting as Wirt and Greg step off the ferry. I found this animatic while working on work last night, and I took a break to watch it. All the nostalgia came flooding back. I couldn't stop thinking of it in school today, and I came back to watch it again. Thank you for keeping the spirit of the OTGW fandom alive 🩷

I saw this animation today, and I didn't know what this was. I was interested searched it up, liking the sound of it. I decided to watch it since it was so short and I had free time. It was the best decision I could have made. I binge-watched it in less than two hours, and it's one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. I adore the idea and the style, and I thank this animation for leading me to watching it. I love the Dream SMP content, and when I saw you had this as your first video, I clicked. Im so glad I did. I just... want to let you know how deeply this has impacted me. Please bear with me. Warning: emotions ahead. When I first watched this video, I cried. I watched it again and again- You know. Like a sane person. Then I started listening to Lord Huron, particularly his Strange Trails album. But, still, mainly this one song. I played it on the guitar. I sang it to myself when I felt anxious. Every time, at every word, I remembered this animatic. Yesterday my brother gave me a casette tape (he made himself) of the whole otgw soundtrack, and on the list of songs the last one was covered with yellow paper. He told me it's a surprise. So of course I set down that very minute and listened to the whole thing. When the last song started playing, and I heard the tell-tale sound of (what I assume to be) the train, the very train that's wormed itself into my brain since this video, I cried again. It would have been very hard not to. What I want to say with this... Well. It's become a part of me, one way or another. So. Thank you.
