Good to see ya back in the air, does the TBM900 have an AOA, if so do you prefer a calculated hard number vs AOA?

Thank you! It is good to get up in the air again! The AOA integration is an available upgrade on the TBM900, however, it is available on the TBM910 and newer from the factory. This TBM900 does not have an AOA, so hard numbers it is. With the G1000, a trick that can used to achieve numbers similar to the AOA is to line up the green donut on the approach end of the runway.

Chestnut is cool as a cucumber. How many hours does he have? ;-)

He's been slacking at his co-pilot duties lately and choosing to sleep instead, so he doesn't have as much as he could! :-)

How does the cabin altitude compare at max ceiling to the M600? I’ve noticed on several trips in the M600 I fly that at 290/300 the cabin altitude is over 10000. So I usually just eat the fuel burn at 250/260 rather than have a high cabin altitude.

Nice! I've flown the Meridian and my experience is similar to yours. It's not RVSM approved, so it's limited to FL280, but the needle sat just under 10,000 at FL280. In the TBM, I routinely see 9700 to 9800 cabin altitude while at FL310. How do you like the M600 and G3000?

TBM performance app. Great tip I'll get that loaded up..... Your approach was fine. Rolling to the end you mine as well be a little high. Beside a little high beats a little low and having to add power.

It’s a great tool and provides a lot of data that Foreflight won’t provide. One thing I have not solidified yet is the TBM weight and balance calculations in Foreflight, but the numbers in the TBM performance app are spot on. That is true! Thank you
