Thank you. When I saw you had started playing D&D in Dark & Dicey I wanted to check it out. This led me to check out The Stream of Many Eyes where I discovered many other wonderful D&D streaming groups which got me psyched for D&D again. Afterwards, I started going to my local comic book store to play Adventurers League and eventually started DMing my own table there which I still run (we're running Lost Mine of Phandelver). I've met many new friends and have had such great experiences this year, all thanks to the catalyst which was your streams and those of the great community around D&D. So thank you!!

I too am obsessed with DnD and your dog. Fighter and rouge are probably the best introductory classes. The Fighter can do a little bit of everything, and Rouges can do a crazy amount of damage under the right circumstance. This was pretty fun!

@@maxrichards3818 I'm very curious why you think Druid is a good class first beginners. This is largely because it's the last one I would recommend to new players. I would be reluctant to recommend any spellcaster, as spells and spellcasting are a fair bit to chew on. So a Wizard or Cleric would only be good suggestions if the player's ready for some substantial mechanics. Not only are druids spellcasters, but what is by all means their most defining feature is Wild Shape. So not only do you have to deal with spells from the beginning, but you gotta deal with the stats of a few Beasts fairly early on. So Druid might be good for a second or third character, or even someone who has played other rpgs and doesn't mind juggling multiple mechanics. But I wouldn't actively recommend it for someone new to dnd. But if you think about it, the best beginner class is the one that most excites the player. So if you were drawn to the Druid when you first pick up a character sheet, you have every reason to support it.

When I have to describe D&D, I call it "improvised theater with friends". Everyone gets to tell their story, including the "director". Good luck DMing. I'm sure you'll do wonderfully, as long as people are having fun. Adventure League or with friends? Not knocking AL, but with friends is the best.

Hmmm, definitely recognize that demonic halfling. Dark and Dicey is a hoot to watch. Definitely love D&D though. My favorite character I’ve done was from a one-shot. A half-orc barbarian who may or may not have cleaved two witches in half at different times during the campaign. She also got turned into a Charmander for one of the trials we had to go through.

The Symbiote Nation. I would say yes and no. We came across three scrolls and each of us opened one and passed out. We weren’t Pokémon trainers, our consciousness went into the three starter Pokémon. It was quite interesting for us to turn and look on the other side of a glass wall and see our passed out bodies. After the three of us defeated three other Pokémon we immediately went back into our bodies and the sealed door opened. The Druid of our group got to keep the sheets and, if she wanted to, could turn into those three. Then the next room is where the first witch I cleaved in half was.

The Symbiote Nation. I don’t see why not. If the DM was willing to help figure it out it could definitely be a possibility. D&D is a game that you can experiment with in some circumstances. I can see a good example of a Symbiote gameplay with a character coming across a cursed object that harbors those abilities you are thinking about

Brizzy, I lost my dog of 14 years Monday. It was by far the hardest day of my life. I was distraught and incredibly depressed all day. I needed something to take my mind off of it. And I needed a good laugh. So I watched this, and then started watching the dark and dicey playlist. So thank you. You gave me so much happiness during that day. Im more of a wargamer but for you Ck out roll 20 for an online game. Also is the meet up app in your area? Search for DnD groups. Facebook search Ive had success finding groups. I'm yet to play him yet but my Stout Halfling Wizard accidentally got his father executed one day a few years after he finished school and was practicing magic in the yard and accidentally shot a firebolt in to the village elders house, burning it down. Like i said, i'm yet to play him and i dunno if that would work but *shrugs.*

Brizzy, you are in for an Amazing time playing D&D. Trust me, I've been playing for a year, and it's so much fun! My advice for you on being a DM is that, know the rules, know the monsters, know the stuff, and don't expect everything to go the way you planned it to be. I'm currently playing my first ever D&D character for almost a year and a half now! I'm a half-elf sorcerer/warlock devoted to Selune the moon goddess! I've had some trouble in the past and keep jumping back and forth between Chaotic Evil and Chaotic Neutral but was sadly recently petrified :( and now am relying on my familiar and my party to save me! Here’s my character called “Lilith” (do not read this comment if you do not like paragraphs or graphic stories and bad grammar): Lilith is a female, half human half demon. She had 2 younger sisters, so she was the oldest. The youngest sister was called “Maddie,” the middle child was Mary. Mary and Lilith were half human and half demon, but Maddie was full demon. Lilith loved her full demon father more than her full human mother, her father was named “Lucias” (nephew of Lucifer/Satan) while her mother was called “Shelly.” Her mother was a non-famous scientist who found out Lucias was a demon after Maddie was born. Shelley was a Christian and did not like the sound of her whole family either being full demons or half, so she started studying about demons and planned to kill off her family. Mary loved her mother, figuratively blind to see her mother being very bad. One day, Lilith went to the basement (avoiding her mother saying to not go down there) to ask her mother if they can go to the market (since her father was at work and her and her sisters were too young to go out on their own and she saw her mother go to the basement). But, Lilith was not prepared to see her mother searching up how to kill a demon. Unfortunately, her mother noticed Lilith peeking on her searching up such a bad thing, so she said “Ah, hello Lilith... What a bad girl to go down the basement.. I guess have to kill you guys sooner now, DO NOT TELL ANYBODY ABOUT THIS OR ELSE I WILL SMITE YOU ALL WITHOUT HESITATION!” Lilith was scared and nodded then ran back up, she was shaking and tried to turn a blind eye. After that day, she went outside to refresh herself, but saw her mother dragging Maddie’s dead body to a fire in an alley. Shelly gave her a look that said “Don’t tell anybody,” then after they made eye contact she gave Lilith a mask and said “If I give you this mask, YOU WILL _NOT_ TELL ANYBODY!” Lilith quietly nodded and put the mask on herself, it was bigger than her face but she would fit into it when she was an adult so she never took it off. Keep in mind while this is all happening, Lilith is only 9 years old in human years and 6 human years older than Mary and 7 human years older than Maddie. They all took a family photo (Mary, Lilith, Shelly, and Lucias) the same day Maddie died, Shelly just said Maddie had been in a car accident and successfully convinced them when she paid a stranger $10,000 to crash into a little 2 year old that looked most like Maddie. So Maddie was not in their family photo. 2 years passes by and Mary is playing hide and seek with Lilith near a park, Lilith was seeking and Mary was hiding. Shelly thunk Lilith was old enough to go to the park on her own with Mary. However, when Mary was going to hide, she got distracted by a pretty butterfly and ran after it far, far away. Lilith couldn’t find Mary for 3 hours then gave up and went home to report the incident. When she got home and told her mom and dad about what happened, Shelly and Lucias got into a fight saying that it was and wasn’t Lilith’s fault. Shelly finally snapped and killed Lucias with holy water in front of Lilith’s poor eyes, Shelly planned to kill little Lilith with a knife since Lilith was half human but slipped on the holy water and face planted into the knife and died, Lilith was so young she was horrified. She ran outside crying and looking for Mary. While she was looking for Mary, police found her with her mask on and took her to the police station to ask questions. When the police officer found out what happened, she was sent to an orphanage. Nobody wanted to adopt a demon child, so she stayed in there for 7 years until she was kicked out of the orphanage since she was old enough to get a job. She worked for a supermarket homeless until she could buy a house, a year goes by and when she went to go get some dinner, she got ran over by a drunk driver. She went to the hospital and had every penny and dollar spent by her wallet to get all the parts she had broken replaced by robot parts. Since her demon side was not effected by a simple accident, only her human side was broken. Her human side got replaced by robot parts, so she stayed in the hospital for a couple of months before getting released. She was scared that Mary was still out there, not knowing how to control her demon cannibal side at night. So Lilith started a stalk, killing agency business when she turned 21 human years old. She made a lot of money and started a family with three sons, a husband, and a retired brother-in-law. She was now 26 human years old and feels as if she’s still playing hide and seek, still a seeker trying to find Mary. She’s sure Mary is alive. After all this mess, she still has the mask Shelly gave her since she was a young girl. Emotionless as ever, eating dead humans and alive or dead birds to deal with her losses and stress. Her weapon is her strongest knife, weakness is holy water. (Since demons can not contain holy water and robotic parts get broken when interacted with water)

This is an awesome video, I love coming up with different characters and helping others do the same! Such as it is with my current campaign, all new players get a prologue, a session just for them! They come to the table with a name, race, and an idea of what sort of place they grew up then run them through their childhood, give them choices that guide what stats or skills they are good at, throw class options at them and just see how they turn out! It's so much better in my mind than having to build a character then figure out a background, plus people tend to build a voice as they play it out too!

My husband got me into D&D about 2 years ago doing Adventure League at our local comic book store. I normally play as an elven sorceress but now that we play with a small group of friends I'm a little less shy and when we take a break from the campaign and do a one shot they have helped encourage me to branch out and do different roles
