Meet our 9 week old Long Haired Miniature Dachshund puppy, Pierre! His first few days at home

Pierre is so cute. One suggestion -get a ramp. Discourage him from jumping on/off high places to protect his long back. I also have a long haired mini dachshund and she’s now 4. She’s loves to sleep and eat , is stubborn and barks frequently(typical of this breed).

Pierre is sooooo adorable🥺 one little tip from a fellow dachshund owner, try to keep his body in a horizontal position when you hold him🫶🏻this would be more comfortable for his spine

Pierre is so cute 🐶 we got a black and tan smooth haired miniature Dachshund just over a week ago he's called Henry he's 10 weeks old now and he's amazing. He loves to play be cuddled and his training is going so well . Henry's temperament is amazing and so far I have taught him to sit ,stay , lay down , he's starting to recognise his name and we got him some small stairs to get on the sofa which he's great at now . He has brought so much extra joy to our lives and I can't recommend miniature Dachshunds enough they are such a great family pet and keep up with Pierre's socializing with people it's worked great for Henry . Enjoy all the fun 🐶😊

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!! My husband and I got our first Dachshund in 2001, the second in 2003. They were mini's. Unfortunately they have passed on. There were 5 more, and all but 3 of them have also sadly passed. They are 2 Dapple Doxies and one red haired one. My husband made ramps for them to get up on and off of furniture. You will love your little cutie to pieces. Your other dog is very adorable too. We loved watching them play on your video. We will always have Doxies, as long as our health holds out. We are both in our late 70's.....believe me, they are so much fun, but can also be stubborn. You will have so much fun with this little character. I look forward to watching your updates. Ahhh he's so adorable! I've told my husband that I want a long haired Dachshund when anything happens to our Labrador - I hate thinking that far ahead as it feels disloyal to our beautiful boy, but he won't be with us forever! 😢 My husband said a definite NO when I first suggested a long haired Dachshund, but he's since seen one and has come round to the idea, as long as he can have a Jack Russell too, so I said yes, as long as it's a black and tan one. But we don't want to think that far ahead because of our lovely Labrador! Enjoy your adorable Pierre - he's a gorgeous colour!

Could you please share the breeder's name in Tennessee? I have been looking for an English Cream puppy just like Pierre! I have had miniature dachshunds for many years...one short-haired and two long-haired, but my last one passed away unexpectedly(during a routine medical procedure) in 2021. I have been completely heartbroken since then. I live in Georgia, so I'm very near Tennessee and would LOVE to have a baby just like yours! This video was so precious! Your Riley is a gem, too!
