Glad to see your navy has added a tracked landing craft (camouflaged as a skid steer) to the fleet. Also glad we didn't see the barge attempt submarine duty. Hope you deployed smoke before landing on the beach for a nice visual effect.

The barge can handle 9 tons actually, I was in a hurry and didn't distribute the weight properly for that particular run. Will definitely be more careful going forward! Thanks so much for chiming in! - Ryan.

Our Kubota Tractor is jealous of Pepper. Y'all will love your new Skid Steer. It is definitely a great investment, as well as an awesome tool! I love y'all's new boots. What's your tractor's name? Orrr do other people not do that? 😂 Yes yes a game changer in every way - I mean it was at the point where with all the trees and debris from taking some of them down... it just wasn't doable without him. Ohhh my the trip back to the island was sketchy - one of these days it just might not turn out as well... that would be tragic!! Ryan likes to get the machines across but I do think we need to be very cautious about weight and distribution. Thank you again for your support - hugs to you both!

Welcome to our channel! Our story is about building on a wilderness island and we don't pretend that our hard earned savings can't help us move forward in this hard sought-after endeavor. Remembering that between the two of us, we have worked very hard during our careers and have managed our funds to be able to now work on this amazing land. We are most definitely 'homesteaders' 😆 started in a tent, moved to a 7x7 ft shed that we now use for a washroom and we are now in a tiny cabin without running water or a kitchen. We are building - it won't always be this way and one day we hope to have the conveniences of a home closer to civilization without the 'civilization' if that makes sense. Thank you for watching 💚

I commend your choice of equipment! Having been a 1st Class heavy equipment for nearly 60 years and having experience on all brands, Cat, John Deere, etc) I chose Kubota when I went into the concrete business on my own because they are the most reliable I have ever operated. A Kubota mini excavator the same size as the Cat 307 you rented has twice the lifting power.

Maybe waterfront is common for your Island? I just read definition of Holm and hope it's not accurate!! If so build the next cabin higher up holm /hōm/  noun BRITISH an islet, especially in a river or near a mainland. a piece of flat ground by a river that is submerged in time of flood.

Yes, A 'Holm is an island in a river, lake or estuary'...which is exactly what ours is ❤ the water isn't too high for where we've built and where the main house will be built, but it sure does rise... It's wonderful either way you look at it - constantly changing shoreline 🌊
