i don't hate it but i do question the "uses standard co2 cartridges..." if they're :standard" why is he screwing it in? standard co2 cartridges just insert into a channel and then the pin in the device (airguns, etc...) pierces the tip.

you show it sitting outside of a cooler, but wouldn't the beer get warm? ex. the portion while playing golf that you show

Can you use this to make soda water / sparkling water?

You need a diffuser. Also use very cold beverage to start with. After charging you will have to shake the keg until the pressure drops then charge again until the pressure doesn't drop anymore
