Everything you make is just so....beautiful. Not only with the themes and the content being so true but also just the way that things look in the film if that makes any sense. I hope that one day you get to make a living making beautiful things so that people like me - just another speck - can carry on loving each and every one of them.

In some ways, I'm completely envious of Emily A. Cat. Born knowing who she is, wanting to be a filmmaker. I really wish I had that. I'm one of those specks that doesn't know what it wants, while the rest of the specks are drifting away on their own paths, while I'm remaining stagnant. Dabbling in things here and there is the best I can hope for, but not even making something good enough because I'm spread out so thin in other things. I wish I had a passion. Probably.

This was beautiful and voiced the inner turmoil I have over following my dream or picking a course at uni which I know will lead to a decent, well payed job. Both are creating art; one is physical, the other written, and both will be hard going at first but I'm torn. I loved this short and Molly is a lovely cat! It's a great way to showcase the charity and to shine a light on the industry that to many people is a mystery. Absolutely well done!

Oh, Yulin. I've been waiting for this for so long. And it did not disappoint. And it's so hard to be a speck waiting to become something more substantial--glass or silicone maybe? But the work that you have done as a speck is so wonderful and meaningful and beautiful and IMPORTANT. I don't know if there's one thing I loved most--though Mary Kate speaking as you as Molly was pretty great. You made so many good points about staying true to yourself and comparing yourself to others. You may be a speck on a beach, and maybe you are getting a bit more substantial, but you are definitely not alone.

Lauren Hanna :D I'm so glad you enjoyed this! Love this on so many levels, artistically, kitty-wise, made by Yulin and because MK is in it. I could relate to the artistic spirit of wanting to get to where you feel that your art is truly appreciated by making enough of a living not be worry about that part of life. I used to love drawing manga style, and that was my dream since I was six until it got emotionally blocked in my late 20's. Now my passion is pastry baking, specifically french style pastries, giving myself to perfect my craft. Hope to have a home cat cafe. My jobs are like hobbies, till I get there, one day^^*

You go through something similar as a scientist/programmer. People having you do unpaid labour for "exposure". Comparing yourself to others careers and successes. You just want to do science or solve problems. So even though I'm not an artist, there's a lot here that I connected on.
