I'm just a really big fan, Emily. This film is so well put together and absolutely lovely and I love that you can hint at so much story using an experimental style like this and I would totally tell you all of these things if I wasn't also dating you.

Number 6 made me cry. As beautiful as it sounds "Oblivion is inevitable", "You will be forgotten" hits harder. I thought about my grandparents. I didn't get to meet my grandparents, they passed away long before I was born. But once in a while I see pictures of them and get nostalgic because my parents tell me all sort of stories about them. I know my comment is not a coherent or complete idea, I'm just typing what was going through my mind while watching this video. Emily, it was beautiful.

I agree. I was one when my beloved grandfather died. Everyone has wonderful memories of him, but I just have two photos. It hurts in a nostalgic kind of way.

I love the music in the video and how it contrast with the olden vintage proper feel of the film and how it becomes more distorted as it gets darker and it's just... idk it's just cool...

The embroidery, the ferris wheel, and the girl running/twirling with her hair loose were all key elements - life is temporary and fragile, age only goes in one direction, and innocence is so ignorant yet so important. Wonderful job. :)

Ahhh so you've been well-versed with filming needle and thread before that video you made last time! This was lovely and the music goes with it so well I couldn't imagine it with anything else!

The embroidery of the girl is an illusion of both a young woman and an old lady. I thought that was a perfect detail for the video

I was just watching a video om Ptolemy's solar system theory and the animation had a song by múm in the background. I immediately had to watch this back! It's strange because I've grown up quite a bit since I first watched this. I started university. I moved out. I made new, younger friends to whom I'm kind of 'the mum friend'. I really liked this video when I first saw it at age 17, but I think I understand everything you're saying a little bit better now. Writing this at 22, I'm definitely not a child anymore, but I don't really mind being a grown up. I think I got it. Thanks for sharing this video (and thanks for introducing this band to me ;) I used one of their songs in a theater piece I directed in high school!)

Wow. Just wow. I started watching thinking it would be just another simple whispering-facial-close-up vlog of yours (which obviously have a beauty of their own), but seriously didn't expect this. So great. So reminiscent of my childhood somehow & I don't even know. I kept wondering about the embroidery as well...like how long it must have taken to do that. Well done. Obviously this was your thesis so you put a lot of effort into it, but you made it look effortless (which is really the dream, right?)

You should enter this in a short film competition if you haven't already. My heart sank at the 'forgotten' part. I love the kitsch type of stop motion mixed with that haunting music & raw honesty in the text. I'm withholding my criticisms because they're just about little details. Plus I know at Uni you would have had to make it within a set time frame. Hope you continue to make short or long films.
