Adelaide South Australia, a city surrounded by parklands. Its in these parkland where you will find Australia's largest species of bat, The Grey Headed Flying Fox.

Some looked to be soaring like raptors, albatrosses, with nary a wing-flap. Do they ride thermal currents, too? If there's live music concerts in the park(s), what do these Foxies then do? So mesmerizing to watch; I could blow off a coupla days just watching them, doin' nothing else!! We shouldn't even CONSIDER the negatives, when we watch these fellers and their winged sheilas doin' their thing.

Agree, they are mesmerizing to watch and even more so watching them swoop in for a drink. They are displaced slightly with the music festival but settle back to normal habits once its over.
