For me personally I have had none of this good accuracy people talk about regarding the ship, hell I tried playing Florida just to compare and felt like I had better accuracy with that thing then Conneticut.

The name Connecticut is derived from the Mohegan-Pequot word that has been translated as "long tidal river" and "upon the long river", both referring to the Connecticut River. I grew up in Connecticut. I remember a grade school teacher telling us that any body outside of Connecticut wouldn't know how to spell it, and so I learned how to spell Connecticut before I knew how to spell Mississippi. I like the guns on theses battle-carriers but I can't hit anything with the planes.

USS Connecticut is a battleship/carrier hybrid, commonly known as “battlecarriers”, the reason for this is because this design is based on the Scheme F of the first part of the preliminary study series leading to the North Carolina class battleships was the most unique design in the group but I would say it was among the top 10 unique designs the USN design board presented for the general staff! It could be seen as a scouting and escort battleship which could use it's floatplanes or other type of aircraft (fighters, bombers) to help the fleet locate the enemy forces and make limited strike from afar but still able to provide gunnery support for the battlefleet by it's 8 14" cannons which were interestingly located all aft (in the game the turrets are positioned forward, somehow similar to the Richelieu-class battleship layout). This arrangement resulting a truly weird looking ship with a short armour belt! The forward section was entirely allocated for aircraft facilities, a hanger storing around 10 aircrafts with two cranes to load and unload them onto the catapults, rails or water or recover them. 3 Catapults were designed to launch the planes in wide arcs forward. Also this was the first design featuring the twin rather than triple 5"/38 DP-AA turrets. This design was preferred by the president Franklin Delano Roosevelt who also preferred the aviation and hybrid cruiser carriers of the 1930's. The design had the following characteristics: Dimensions: 228,6 wl x 32,31 x 9,75m Displacement: 40.500tons (standard), 43.730 (maximum) Armour: 159mm Deck, 432mm Belt Engines: 160.000shp 4 shafts Speed: 56km/h (30knots) Armaments: 2x4 14"/50 (356mm) Cannons 6x2 5"/38 (127mm) DP-AA Guns 5x4 1,1"/75 (28mm) AA Guns 8-12x Seaplanes

You got to remember though it's not exactly a North Carolina class Battleship that its built upon it was one of the earlier design schemes that was intended for a conversion if they had foreign clientele that wanted to purpose built a ship for their Navy it's more like a Proto North Carolina

Been doing VERY well in the T5 Andrea Doria with an accuracy build, was hitting one a Connecticut with it and doing 10k on non citadels here every other salvo

I've been using George Dewey (15/3) on this ship with some interesting results. I matched him up with Space Fishy (16/2) and got the torps up to 48 knots....which has improved my torpedo strike ratio on the Connecticut. I added di Revel (16/3) to bring that main gun reload down a bit, though I have switched him out for Cunningham (16/3) occasionally. I'm not saying this will be my go-to commander build but it's been good so far. Don't ignore the universal commanders in this game. Some of them do offer unique builds that can be quite productive out there. The trick with these particular torps is patience, and giving enough lead on them. It takes some time to figure it out, so I recommend training rooms, which is what I did, then move on over to the AI mode, then on to Standard. It seems to me that the 356's on the Connecticut are much more impactful than Florida's regarding accuracy and damage. The main guns are showing to be superior to that of the Florida. I got this ship in my first crate...then spent $25 on doubloons, bought 5 crates and scored the Nebraska and Delaware which went beyond my hope of getting at least one of 'em---now I own the entire tech tree. 😜

I tend to roll this ship like i would run a JB or one of them french heavy cruisers. Lean bow in hanging out with an island and save the planes for opportunities or oh fxxx moments. I really do like the main guns on this thing and ive built into them heavily. That low citadel has kept me very safe in this weird ship. I often forget about the planes completely during a match.

This one is by FAR my favorite of the Hybrids. I run AL Colorado on mine with Fisher and Madden as inspirations. I’ve got my reload down to under 24 seconds, even with the ‘nerf’ they gave her Monday. Three things I love about this ship, she’s fast, she’s accurate, and she’s quick to turn. (At least how I built here)
