Do you just pour hot water into it to warm bottles?
@cereschill5 ай бұрын
Yes! You would pour hot water into the outer chamber and your milk in the inner chamber. Then wait 7-10 minutes and have a perfectly warmed bottle!

It’s not recommended to mix warm milk and cold milk. So how does that work with this if you’re adding warm pumped milk to milk you pumped earlier that’s now cold in the chiller?
@cereschill11 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry for the late response! This is an amazing question and I totally see where you’re coming from. Most Ceres Chill moms actually do mix their fresh milk with their previously chilled milk - each batch of warm milk is brought down to safe, chilled temps with the rest of it! The recommendation to avoid mixing different temps of milk hasn’t been updated in decades and doesn’t cite any breastmilk research. However, there’s been amazing published studies that show that mixing different temperatures of milk doesn’t increase bacteria counts at all. It’s all about doing what you’re comfortable with, though. We have some amazing information about this below, along with tutorials on how to chill first if you’d prefer to do that! www.cereschill.com/pages/benefits-pooling-breastmilk

If I already have cold pumped milk in the chiller, I would be a second chiller to cool new pumped milk in before adding, correct?

This is a great question. There have been several recent published studies that show that combining fresh milk to previously chilled milk doesn’t increase bacteria counts at all - the recommendation to avoid doing so doesn’t cite any breastmilk research and hasn’t been updated in at least two decades. It’s apparently based on how regular food reacts to temp change! Most moms pool their milk all together in their chiller and combine their fresh pumps with their chilled milk. Each new batch will be brought down to safe temperatures with the rest of it. If you would like to chill it first, then we sell two chillers at a discount - one to cool each batch and the other to pool it all together!
