It’s not that he breaks families for a living, sadly the families are already broken when they see him, he just does the paper work for a living so they can either move on with their lives or remarry later if they chose to.

I'm very sorry this was your experience. Please know that, unless your spouse was married before, you are bound to one another until death. When we're in this situation, the Bible gives us two options, to remain unmarried or be reconciled. Pray that the Lord will bring reconciliation. Jesus said that remarriage is adultery while your spouse is still living. He said to them, “ Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; and if a wife divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. ” Mark 10:11-12 CEB A woman is obligated to stay in her marriage as long as her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry whomever she wants, only it should be a believer in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 7:39 CEB I’m passing on the Lord’s command to those who are married: A wife shouldn’t leave her husband, but if she does leave him, then she should stay single or be reconciled to her husband. And a man shouldn’t divorce his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 CEB A married woman is united with her husband under the Law while he is alive. But if her husband dies, she is released from the Law concerning her husband. So then, if she lives with another man while her husband is alive, she’s committing adultery. But if her husband dies, she’s free from the Law, so she won’t be committing adultery if she marries someone else. Romans 7:2-3 CEB

I wish my husband would reach out to God. We have been married 34 years. We were doing great till he all of the sudden started to act funny. I am sure it is another women. The women sets up UTUBE video's for him. She speaks to him through them. She should not encourage him. We are each others first till she made the first move. Now she has him thinking that he could be with her because God knows he has only been with me. And she told him and i don't know how she convinced him that he has the right to see other women because he needs to be sure I am his soulmate. 34 years and now he is leaving me little by little. The Bible calls a remarriage while the first spouse is still living adultery. When we marry, it is until death do us part. The only time one can remarry is when their spouse has died. Please seriously consider what the Bible says for your own souls sake. 11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. Mark 10 39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 7

Okay, let's shed some light on this. In the 4th verse of Mark 10, it explains why divorce was provided for. I am pretty sure that this man and his previous wife suffered their hearts to be hardened as Jesus described. Who doesn't suffer such an emotional damaging condition after a marriage falls apart? Was the man this video a Christian before his divorce? No. Did he understand Christ's atoning sacrifice before his divorce? No. Did he understand the process of process of faith, repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Holy Ghost? No. Was he even religious? No. Everyone has a past of which we are sometimes not particularly proud of. But, isn't that what the atonement of Jesus Christ is for? Wasn't that the purpose for his mission of take upon all our sins at the Garden of Gethsemane and to suffer and die upon the cross? To help us learn from our mistakes, and through exercising faith in him unto repentence, to let the mistakes go? Heavenly Father does not see us with a fixed mindset, He sees us with a growth mindset. He see us not for who we are, but for what we can be. This is why Jesus, during his mortal ministry on Earth, he took common fishermen and a tax collector (of all people) and spent time teaching and preparing them before sending them off into the world to preach to every nation, kindred, and tongue. He later took a man who was busy arresting Christians and made him into one the greatest apostolic missionaries ever. You remember the story of Paul, right? In the parable of the prodigal son, the father does not condemn his wayward son, but runs out to him and embraces him for his return, puts his cloak around him, and places a ring on his finger, and walks him back. This same father tells his other son, the reason they should kill the fatted calf and celebrate. The prodigal son's brother was wrong for judging him. I am pretty she the moral of the story applies to sisters too. Perhaps you should consider Jesus words to the Samaritan woman at the well. Her life was a train wreck to the point that man she was sleeping with would not even commit to her. Did Jesus condemn this woman as he revealed her life story? No. He simply showed this woman what she was thirsting for in her life. What do you thirst for? Nothing? Good! Then, I suggest we celebrate this lost sheep returning to the fold and not meddle in his past.

I know alot of evangelicals & half of them are on there 2nd & 3rd marriage just like the secular ones. God doesn't live your life for you. I'll say this tho. This guys job gives him a front row seat to see what you don't want in a marriage, and everyday he goes to work is a reminder of how fragile a relationship can be at any age. It's a lil more incentive to be present & appreciative.

Exactly lol, I keep waiting for this 'woman of God' to show up when I'm at my lowest... it doesn't happen. I think religious girls especially do not like me. Yet I have been pursuing God since I was 12, this is like my life. The rest of our culture is too secular, it's like I'm not 'heathen' enough for the people who will accept me but I'm not 'holy' enough for the religious people either.

The Bible is certainly not silent about divorce and remarriage while previous spouse is still alive. Jesus repeatedly called this ADULTERY: LUKE 16:18 King James Version (KJV) 18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. ROMANS 7:2 King James Version (KJV) 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

Yes, I was just about to say the same thing. It is so sad that the church has not held onto this truth because God has not changed.
@carolynschatte29653 жыл бұрын
@Pesto Patagonia, God's word does not change with the times. It stands forever as He has said. We have to change our mind to agree with what He says. BTW, we also are in the new covenant in which the Jesus gives us strength to live as He said. He brings us back to the original intent of marriage - one man and one woman for life. He says in Matthew 19, what God has joined together, let no man separate. And, in 1 Corinthians 7:10 the Lord commands, let not a woman depart from her husband, but, if she does, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled; and, let not the man divorce his wife.
@kelliewood9544Ай бұрын
Thankfully, we have modern-day scriptures that shed more light on God's will regarding divorce and eternal marriage, lasting beyond death. There are books missing from the Bible.

@davidtop89893 жыл бұрын
Yes, but a romantic fruit cake nonetheless. Just think for a moment, who do you think a woman would trust their heart and soul with? Who do you think a girl would totally commit to? Some like him who believes love can last forever (if you work at it), or you, who sees the notion of forever love as the equivalent of leprechauns and unicorns? In short what would you offer in comparison to this guy? Don't try to convince me, convence that future girlfriend. Your leprechauns and unicorns outlook would make a terrible Valentines day card and a worse love song, but, good luck with that.

Marriage isn’t for time and eternity. That’s what Mormonism teaches. But that’s not what God teaches. Jesus told us that in heaven there will not be marriage, but we will be like the Angels. So that’s for 1000 years we will be in heaven, look at Revelation 20. But he doesn’t say anything about marriage when he makes a new heaven and a new earth revelation 21 and 22. But with Christ in the hearts and lives of two believers, who are submitted and surrendered to him, marriage is a beautiful covenant, and it’s a picture of Christ and the church. Two become one. It’s a picture of the gospel. I recommend the Old Testament and New Testament as the first source of knowledge. Not book of Mormonism reading their perspective into the Scriptures
@nataliepalmer11893 жыл бұрын
The plan of salvation/happiness is true. I know that when I die, I can see my family in heaven as an eternal family. The family is ordained of God. The family is central to the creators plan for the eternal destiny of God’s children. When a man and woman are sealed in the temple, and keep their covenants with god, they and their family will be together for all eternity. Death cannot separate them. Families can be together forever. The Holy Ghost bore witness to me that this is true. I know with all my heart this is true. I also know The Book of Mormon is the most correct of any book, and that a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is TRUE. This man will be married to his wife for all eternity.
