With my breeding project I had the opposite problem my males will lose weight and my females will gain weight, I have a few cluchtes that hatched and I'm having great results

Some males can only think of one thing. I have a couple leopard males that do that, but not as many as Fat Tail females.

Thanks. They are similar to Leopard Geckos. Usually by a year old females are ovulating.

Very interesting. Since the Leo genetics here in the United States has been the same the past 40 years, I'm interested in breeding my Adult male Axanthic Hyper Bold Reverse Stripe het albino with a Female Fat Tail! My idea is similar to things you and other Breeders have done, make more robust genetics Leo's and possibly cool morphs!!! I'm interested in your opinion. Like what Female Fat Tail morph would be best. My Leo has a black heart on each eyelid/brow and I'd love to pass that trait/markings on to clutches

I like the creativity. However, Fat Tails and Leopard Geckos are too genetically dissimilar to successfully breed.

I don’t use heat lamps. I have under tank heat on a thermostat so I drop my thermostat 2 degrees a day. You could probably leave it off longer, but I’d do some research first.

Hi , I have a terrarium of 200cmx60cmx70cm . I want to put in a group of fat tail gecko's . I am doubting between a male and 2 females or a male and 3 females . But what is the best ? I also heard that you can't put a male white out and a female white out together ? Can you help me out ? Greetings Rudy

White Out to White Out will produce unviable offspring. The “super” or double copy form of the gene is lethal. As for community housing, we keep all ours individually. But if I were to house multiple, I’d keep 2 or 3 females together space permitting. I would introduce the male for breeding season, but separate him after you start getting fertile eggs from the females because he will continue to try and breed throughout the year which may cause stress or even fighting.

We house clutch mates together until about 3-4 months old. Sometimes we separate earlier if one is hogging all the food.

I have bred them as did just about every breeder that could afford or find one. I created 3 frost turcmenicus’ in 2018, 3 in 2019 and 5 in 2020. Another breeder became interested in the project and took it from me. So yes I did make 11 of them.

Not entirely a fact. I suspect you don’t know every breeder nor is there a rating system to define reputable. If there were, it should include customer service, response time, charity and educational outrage, governmental and regulatory involvement, criminal record, etc. By your definition most “reputable” breeders produced 100’s even 1,000’s of them. I produced 11. In fact, the limited scientific studies weren’t even released until 2020. I’m not defending the project or it’s results. I’m defending opinion versus fact and people’s individual rights to create and speak as they wish. Freedom isn’t defined by a few it is held by the many. When a few define it then it is no longer freedom.

They thrive in this environment. They prefer small, secure and safe spaces. In captivity they can live 20+ years, which far exceeds their “wild” lifespan.
