I had an e36 m3 and now currently have the Veloster N. And i can assure you he brought the ///M dNa into the N brand. The raw feel is still there.

Great review. For reference, there's a channel called @savagegeese who believes Albert's work is garbage and none of this came through on his test drive on a track. Called the Ioniq 5N awful to drive. He's the only person, but hey, you'll get trolls everywhere.. Keep up the amazing work Albert and thank you for bringing the joy of driving to the masses via Hyundai and vehicles like the Elantra N.

Amazing to hear from the guy responsible for my 2023 Elantra N. The steering wheel and seats are incredible. The infotainment system is unmatched at that pricepoint, and the exhaust sounds amazing for a four cylinder car. The man knows what enthusiasts want and he delivers! BTW, after my tune the car is making 320 whp and I don't think it helps for track days. He is right about horsepower for a track focused car. Still, the car takes a beating on the track and drives me home with no issues.

It’s great to see someone as passionate as him talking about his craft. He reminds me of Gordon Murray in that respect. His passion and clear vision clearly come through in the cars he has developed over the years.

He definitely is a true car enthusiast and knows how to make one hell of a car

Cool guy. You'd never guessed he's old enough to have founded BMW M back in 1971.

I've had multiple AMGs and BMW cars, recently traded my c63 for a 24 Elantra N. THATS how much fun! This car is, and it's all because of that man. 3300 lbs light weight, carries 5 people and visceral when needed.

Why did he leave? Cause because bmw marketing team were focused on selling ugly cars for the Chinese market and not the ultimate driving machine??

I test drove the car yesterday and it's honestly an amazing piece of engineering, they really did something special. And the sound is not amazing I won't lie but the thing is it's actually useful as a frame of reference so you know how fast you're going. Silent EVs are almost dangerous as you don't realize your speed, the audio feedback is important. And while you're focused on your driving you really don't pay as much attention to the quality of the sound and it starts to feel good. I agree with him I don't think anyone can drive this car properly and complain about it

I think BMW letting Albert walk to Hyundai Kua Genesis was one of the biggest automotive mistakes of the century. Hyundai is picking up where BMW left off. bmw inadvertently created a monster

These Hyundais are amazing, and one of the great things this company is doing in lieu of some of the bat shit crazy things they are doing that but their customers. But I still believe that if you can keep your Hyundai from being stolen, they are some of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. My sonata hybrid is unchanged from 2013 and is being passed down to my son as I buy a Tucson. As well the other Hyundai's in our family. Just solid dependable cars that we have used to move over 6000 miles in the past 10 years and these cars were the reason we could make long trips and never have a single issue. I've driven the N and it's on our list as we've had the ability to buy some cars that are more for FUN.

The answer he gave to the question of what cars outside of N and M he likes was very diplomatic to his current employer. I was sure he was going to say Porsche, but he just gave the politicians answer 😅

11:48 basically saying combustion engines are being phased out. Yet porsche and several other automakers continue to innovate and improve their engines. Biofuels (ethanol-based or similar) are prevalent. I have to disagree with him on that point. Time will tell.

Porsche is literally the only example, albeit they're more popular than ever. I think that's already proving to be a smart business strategy. Emissions regulation is going to be their biggest enemy. They need a provision for "hobby" cars
