Honey Stukes is majoring in biological sciences with minors in sustainability and theology in the Class of 2024. She had never even stepped foot on campus before she committed to attending the University of Notre Dame, due to the pandemic; the Galvin Scholars program provided an avenue for Honey to create friends and community-she even found a mentor in her first semester!
The Galvin Scholars program has contributed to Honey's confidence, as well as providing the funding to pursue her academic endeavors during her time at Notre Dame. Honey credits her experience in Galvin to helping her find lifelong friends.
The Mary E. Galvin Science & Engineering Scholars Program at the University of Notre Dame provides talented students the support they need to thrive in chemistry, calculus, and physics courses.
Students perform significantly better in smaller sections, allowing for more interaction with their peers and the instructors. The program also helps students find supportive groups with similar talents and interests.
