Nice. I love the original 240z but had never heard of Prince racing preceeding the development. Cool.

It looks like a Ferrari and GT40 had a baby.

Would have been a great video if the images being used weren’t out of sequence (historically), were actually of the thing being talked about when the images appear on screen and didn’t refer to a car that was neither the R380 or the R380 II, like the Daihatsu at the end.

I was born in the late 50s, in the U.S. I had Japanese windup toys made in early to mid 50s built from food cans. Some had paint labels still on them.

I wonder why the Japanese didn't compete in Europe or North America with this car?

Ferrari 250 LM, the Japanese motor industry was always good at copying the hard work of others 😁

Very interesting technological quality jump, but the body looks as much as the Porsche 904 as the Tupolev Tu 144 looked like the Concorde. "Reverse design"....

Japanese really know how to copy & make a good item, be it a car or a radio into a great item.

Majority of Japanese sports cars, they almost look like they are scaled down American muscle cars. And that is not a Bad thing!!!!!!!

ZUPERIOR Japanese Technology !!! An island nation importing all their oil & gasoline with recovering Manufacturing & Economy NEEDED EXPORTS TO GROW. They tactically, strategically, & systematically went after specific GLOBAL markets. Finding foothold CONSUMER niche markets. Duplicating target products, then adding to reliability, and then innovation while keeping costs down in consumer markets requiring tight margins. Their Kei or "K" cars were domestic requirements. They had no 60s muscle car evolution. At least NOT like America.
